Welcome everyone to the Race Report for Round 9 of the Season at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria! In a rare circumstance in SLR, we saw the rain come down at least once each night this weekend, causing some hectic, yet incredibly exciting races up and down the divisions. In Division 2 we saw a wet start to qualifying slowly turn dry by the end, and it went from dry to wet for the final third of the race. In Division 3 it was a dry to wet qualifying and that theme was continued as a wet end to the race spiced things up. Meanwhile in McKeon on Sunday, we started wet, then it went dry, then the rain came back in the final few laps to really confuse matters! It really did pour this weekend, but one thing that definitely didn't dampen our spirits was seeing 3 full grids for the first time this season. Stewards Verdict: Qualifying Ban & 2LP to Radius F1 for blocking a car on a hot lap.
Qualifying incident involving RSF1 Invade, BRT James, FGE Jacob & Radius F1
Stewards Verdict: NFA. Just an unfortunate incident caused by Snypz and James battling resulted in Invade getting damage.
Division 2
Round 9 took us to the picturesque Styrian hills for the Austrian Grand Prix. It was a wet start to qualifying and seemed to be set in for the entire session. But with only a couple of minutes left there was a sudden switch and half the grid took the risk on a set of softs. It is a risk that paid off, shown by the fact I managed to put myself in P9 and feel like an elephant up a tree! Anyway, back to the more important matters. SLR Darnell was one of the last across the line and capitalised by taking pole position. UKBeastAssassin took second place to set up the front row for the race.
The race itself was more of the same weather wise however it was flipped. The race started with clear blue skies but towards the end the heavens opened and within an instant the race was flipped on its head. There was the typical division two shenanigans throughout the race with plenty of cars facing the wrong way round, questionable pit entries and of course safety cars.
Pricey was able to take advantage of the interchangeable weather to claim back to back race wins and join Massey as the only two drivers with multiple wins this season. Again just like last week it was Scar B0rga who took second place with an impressive recovery drive in the wet conditions. But will the stewards have their say on the result?

Stewards Verdict: 5 second time penalty and 1 licence point to Pricey for moving under braking. It’s a late move from Pricey going into Owen’s line causing him to receive damage.
Lap 6 incident involving SLR Fanybash & Pricey
Stewards Verdict: NFA but this is right on the limit.
Lap 10 incident involving SLR Fanybash & harveui
Stewards Verdict: NFA. Harvey is alongside enough going into T1 to go for a move, he has fresher tyres and the inside line, not the best corner to make a move at but was clean enough given the circumstances.
Lap 12 incident involving Darren l 22 & F1ABQW3RTYYY
Stewards Verdict: 3 second time penalty to Qwerty for cutting the pit entry.
Lap 26 incident involving Massey F1 & SLR Darnell
Stewards Verdict: 10 second time penalty and 2 licence points to Darnell for an unsafe pit entry resulting in a collision and damage. Darnell should be aware that there are cars around him and should have made it more obvious that he was pitting even if there were no specific guidelines given. (Successful Appeal - pen removed)
Penalty Removal request for UKBeastAssassin
Stewards Verdict: 3 second time penalty to be removed from Beast’s race time. The car ahead does move over late but Beast isn’t close enough to warrant them being penalised. However Beast is clearly only going off track here to avoid a collision and thus the warning can be removed leaving him on 2 for the race.

Qualifying incidents involving Hubbadee & Aleapyeargirl92
Stewards Verdict: qualifying ban and 2 licence points to aleapyeargirl for blocking a car on a hot lap. Qualifying ban for Hubbadee for causing a collision and dangerous driving. We believe that Hubbadee deliberately drives into aleapyeargirl after being blocked causing contact, Hubbadee then proceeds to drive at a 90 degree angle to the track and cut the pit entry - any future incident of a similar nature will receive a stronger penalty.
Lap 1 incident involving Tyler Jenkins, iKarizmik, SLR Hicklin & BadOtterTV
Stewards Verdict: 5 second time penalty and 1 licence point to BadOtter for a divebomb. There’s no evidence to suggest anyone got damage but BadOtter making it 4 wide into turn 1 cannot go unpenalised, it has caused Tyler to go off track and receive a penalty.
Lap 9 incident involving Suuper dr1v3
Stewards Verdict: 10 second time penalty and 3 licence points (Qualifying Ban due to DNF) for resetting to track.
