Round 18 takes us to another track in the US this time, Vegas. A brand new track to the calendar not only here in SLR but in real life, a very interesting track with a few charms with the twisty and slow corners in the 1st sector to the huge 1.9km back straight on the Vegas Strip, ending with a tight and easy to mess up final chicane onto the main straight there are plenty of places where races can be won and lost, but with the long straight many opportunities for overtaking. Snypz today has another opportunity to wrap the title here needing to outscore Midzy by 4 or more points, so will the title be wrapped up today or will Midzy be able to keep it going until Brazil? Let’s find out.
For qualifying it would be SLR Medal2533 to take his first McKeon Pole Position! An unbelievable lap, a time no one was expecting to see and he pulled it out of the bag, A wonderful effort from the Alpine driver to make a terrible season, slightly better. Second place in the end would be BMidzy. He must have thought he could do enough but he was just pipped by Medal at the death. The position still puts him in a very good place to gain points on Snypz here with him in 7th so he must be fancying his chances here. Rounding off the top 3 would be drast1k bLazE. Another fantastic lap from the Alpha Tauri driver, definitely showing off his ability more and more each race and just continues to impress.
For the race, it would be a grueling affair with plenty tapping the walls looking for the success of crossing the finish straight in first place but after the 25 laps, it would be Crispy2001 to take his first win of the season! After working together with BMidzy for the majority of the race they both went with a different strategy to start and made it work as they just gave each other the DRS and switched positions when they needed to, really good work from both of them as it definitely helped them both get good results, especially Crispy. Second place in the end was drast1k bLazE. Another great drive from a driver who just can’t seem to put a foot wrong. Really showed an impressive turn of pace since he was moved up and he doesn’t look like he is slowing down one bit, but well done to him for another podium. Rounding off the top 3 would be BMidzy. He may be a bit unhappy at losing 2nd but 3rd still keeps the championship going with Snypz making an uncharacteristic mistake in the latter stages of the race, but a good showing from Midzy, and definitely looks like he can fight Snypz until the very end.
A tough race with an exhilarating quali with a mixed up grid really made it a great watch for all. The good thing for viewers is that the championship will advance to Interalgos next time out here. A fast track with many flowing corners and a slow and technical middle sector it is a difficult one to master but certainly has more grip than Vegas has. Also, a track laced with championships being wrapped up, and maybe with the points gap, it could prove too much for Midzy to regain but I’m sure he will give it his all until the very end. Outcome: Qualifying Ban + 3LPs to SLR EVVO
Reason: Goes for a stupid move trying to overtake half off track on the inside when there isnt a gap and causes Simba to go into the wall
Incident 2
SLR JAM vs TMS Sora - Lap 1 - Causing A Collision
Outcome: 2LPs to TMS Sora (Due to DNF)
Reason: TMS Sora brakes so late and leaves no room and doesn't turn into the corner whilst being on the inside and pushes JAM straight into the wall causing minor damage

Riggsey vs TMS Sora - Lap 1 - Causing A Collision
Outcome: 10s Time Penalty + 3Lps To TMS Sora (Converts to QB + 3LPs due to DNF)
Reason: Sora absolutely clatters into riggsey causing him to spin and into the barrier
Incident 4
TMS Sora - Lap 1 - Intentional DNF
Outcome: Race Ban + 2LPs to TMS Sora
Reason: he gets damage after clobbering riggsey tags the wall and has chance to straighten up but turns to the right and goes straight into the wall and DNFs

TMS Sora - Qualifying - Reset To Track
Outcome: Qualifying Ban and 1LP to TMS Sora
Reason: Any reset to track is not allowed as per Rule 7
TMS Sora now has 12 LPs and as per Rule 18.2 has now gained enough for a Qualifying Ban and a Race Ban.
Due to TMS Sora gaining 2QBs and 2 Race Bans this round he is now unable to compete untill Season 12.
