Qualifying kicked off for Round 3 of season 11 of SLR F2 around the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Another new name was added to the SLR F2 Pole Positions list, that being the Season 8 SLR F1 champion, BMidzy with a sensational lap! The sprint got underway! A short track like this with DRS trains, makes it hard to make an overtake, our championship contagionists were getting in all sorts of trouble. A pointless finish for championship leader SLR Corey, a tough sprint for raceroller, but the man who kept his cool and managed it perfectly was NightOwl! who took a mega sprint race victory, ensuring his name is staying in the pot for this seasons championship! 2 time champion SLR Jam finished just behind the Invicta, and welcome back to the SLR F2 podium... SLR SOUTHERNER! who held off BMidzy to take a remarkable podium! The feature race had all sorts of action! An incident at the start, eliminating multiple drivers from contention, At the front it was a fantastic 3-way fight for the win! 2 time reining champion Raceroller, Season 7 Champion SLR Corey, and BMidzy who could be hunting for his first this season! We wanted action and that's what we got! BMidzy going for glory unfortunately over estimated it into turn 3 and collided with Raceroller allowing SLR Corey to cruise to another race win to extend his lead in the drivers championship! Raceroller would cross the line 2nd and BMidzy after that contact would come home 3rd, bittersweet ending for the MP driver, but nevertheless no hard feelings from the former SLR F1 title rivals.
A week break this week but next week we return for Round 4, this time going around the tight and twisty streets of Baku, where an earlier invitational proved to be tough even for the best of our drivers. Let's see how they get on next time out!

Verdict: 1 LP to SLR Petronas
RaceRoller22 coming out of T1 got a better exit and slight tow up to T2 causing overspeed to Petronas infront. Petronas then changes his line making a very late reactionary move to try and block Roller going for the move. In this case Petronas is very lucky it wasn’t roller who came off worse with terminal damage.

Off the start Tornado has moved across from the right side of the grid to the racing line with little awareness to cars that are going to be on his outside for t1 this then directly effected Jam and Nightowl.
