Crispy clowns, causing chaos for championship chasers!
Entering monza there was a very real chance that both titles could be sealed with 1 race to go. Barring something very unlikely, mclaren looked set to win the constructors at Italy. When you look at their driver pairing this is no surprise to anyone. Leading mclaren driver midzy could also wrap up the drivers title with an 8 point swing over raceroller at the temple of speed.
Firstly qualifying, where the Mckeon division’s Italian track merchant SLR Corey made his return after a couple of weeks out. He would put it on pole with a brilliant lap of a 1:19.4! Behind him was crowding in p2 and crispy In p3. Championship protagonists midzy and raceroller set the exact same time, but would only line up 6th and 7th.
Onto the start of the race, where there would be carnage. Corey, for the second season in a row at monza, would have an interesting reaction time, taking approximately 20 seconds to react to the lights going out (I didn’t count it but close enough). Crispy was spooked behind him and managed to lose the car in 5th gear, spinning himself and Corey around. This created a roadblock, which led to jito, ZyDRAD and ogween getting damage and both midzy and para retiring from the race. This meant that mclaren had sealed the constructors as haas were their closest challengers, but midzy would have to wait at least 1 more week to wrap up the drivers. Unsurprisingly this crash brought out the safety car, where all the drivers with damage pitted. Semm would also pit, hoping to go to the end on a set of mediums. Onto the SC restart. Dacey lost the car twice presumably due to cold tyres, causing further chaos. Unfortunately ogween would retire from this. Somehow semm and jito managed to avoid dacey’s car when he lost it. The incident definitely could have been a lot worse.
Unfortunately for semm, he would be the cause of the next SC, crashing on lap 6. The Williams driver was in an excellent position but clowned it and crashed at ascari. Everyone else on the regular strategy would pit under this SC, leaving ZyDRAD and jito as the top 2 drivers who had made their stop. The top 2 on the road however were the remaining 2 Dutchies in the race, those being monkeyy and division. They kept their strong position until ANOTHER SC on lap 13, where they pitted for a set of softs. This meant that ZyDRAD was leading, with crowding in p2. On the sc restart crowding and zy came together. Jito would take the lead from this and also break DRS. The other contenders for the victory at this time were raceroller, crispy and surprisingly monkeyy, who was of course on a fresh set of softs. Pole sitter Corey also wasn’t out of it either, recovering excellently from lap 1.
As the race developed jito’s advantage at the front was going down and down. He was on the oldest tyres out of everyone so it was only natural. However before roller caught up to him, he would be passed by monkeyy. The Ferrari driver then made quick work of jito, taking his first victory in the Mckeon division. What an unbelievable drive. In the closing stages there was yet more drama behind however. Roller passed jito late on for p2, completing the podium, but behind them there was about a 5 way battle for p4 between Corey, crispy, Andres, bennett and merkz. Corey and crispy had a 3 second pens so merkz and Andres looked set for p4 and p5 respectively, but both picked up late pens! This meant that Corey would take p4 and div 1 champ bennett would take p5. Merkz was still happy with the solid points despite the late pen. Both bennett and merkz were happy to have a bit of a battle without making contact with each other.
Onto USA next week, where once again roller will be looking to keep his slim hopes of retaining the title alive for another race.

Incident 1: Zydrad vs Crowding - 5s & 1LP to Zydrad.
The stewards agree that for this incident Crowding is entitled to the turn going into Turn 1 & does not receive this from Zydrad. This then leads to the confusion at Turn 2 which we see nothing to comment on. The reason this penalty was given is we see it very similar to a clip from a previous race to which the same penalty was given, and for this reason we see it fit to keep consistent with awarding the penalties.
Incident 2: Monkey vs Crowding - No further action - The stewards believe that this incident is a result of incident 1. The move is from a fair way back & puts Monkey in a difficult spot for a challenging corner. We believe Monkey can do no more than he does and the move is a frustration move, but Monkey has no fault in our joint opinion.
Incident 3: Dacey vs Ogwenn - 2 qualifying bans & 3 LPs for SLR Dacey to serve - From evidence given from Ogwenn and another driver, we can see that Dacey lights up the rears on safety car restart resulting in spinning the car into another driver. As cars were restarting, Dacey then goes across the track to dive for the pits due to damage, thus collecting Ogwenn. With this being top standard in SLR, we have to expect the best driving standards. Ogwenn had his race ended and we see no other punishment fit for this incident. As Dacey DNFd in this race, this incident carries over meaning 2 qualifying bans to serve with 3 LPs.

Divison 2
Welcome to Division 2 round 12 the Italian GP.
Can VR46 extend their lead after VapidCoot will be missing this one but will be back in time for USA. Can we also see any surprises at Monza as it’s the temple of speed and anything can happen when these drivers are pushing their cars to the limit.
As we dive into qualifying then it starts of raining so this is a challenge for these drivers to get valid laps in. We also have 3 qualifying bans so only 1 person will be joining then and won’t be advancing to Q2. Allen and the championship leader VR46 have crashed out in Q1 so everyone as it stands are into Q2 so we should see a lot of drivers returning to the pits to get into Q2. Going into Q2 PrimusGaming now serves his qualifying van the right way so only 3 drivers will not be getting into Q3.

LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO!
As the drivers make their way towards the T1-T2 chicane Simon leads followed by southraptor as Ellis hasn’t had the best of starts and other drives making up places behind. Now southraptor has gone wide and into the gravel that loses his P2 at the moment. As we have DannyD and Moley coming into the pits after lap one maybe they have picked up some damage along the way. But as we go onto lap too the pack are still bunched up together and Mason is round as he was going through the chicane. As coming around the final corner Mcloughlin has done an incredible save but now is under attack from raptor behind as it’s a drag race to T1 and raptor manages to get into P5 then.
As the laps keep coming not that many battles are happening but Ellis has done something to lose his whole front wing so he will have to make a pit stop which doesn’t help his race after starting P1. And now Badotter is on the back of Raptor and takes raptor for P3. And now this is becoming a huge battle for P3 as raptor has gotten straight past otter but McLoughlin behind otter has gotten him going into the T4 chicane.
As we go into lap 7 and there is now a full cause safety car and this will change a lot of peoples strategy’s so let’s see who takes this opportunity to pit. As everyone has stoped apart from, Kemence, LSW L3G3ND44 and Morris so it’ll be interesting too see if their strategy call is the right choice.
As the safety car is in on lap 9 so the drivers will have to stop again. And L3G3ND goes for a move on Kemence into the T4 chicane but kemence ran out of room and loses a lot of places. As now the mediums aren’t working for L3G3ND44 and is losing a lot of time to the drivers behind him and it’s too far until he can.
As on lap 19 division 2 see their second safety car of this race and many drivers will box for fresh softs till the end.
As we coming towards the end of the race the safety car restart was the best as the pack was speeding up then slamming on the breaks without warning but as the race continues their was another safety car on lap 23 so only 2 laps will be racing laps for the end. But coming to take the win of the weekend was BadOtter followed by Southraptor and VR46.

Incident 1:
Simon Vs BadOtter - Racing Incident
BadOtter is steering to the left at full lock and so is not intending for contact to be made. Turns 1 and 2 at Monza are particularly tight and so contact is always likely here.
Incident 2:
Safety Car Restart (laps 21/22) - NFA
Not enough evidence was provided for the stewards to take any action. The views that we did have were either very difficult to judge or inconclusive as to what was penalisable.
Incident 3:
PrimusGaming QB served incorrectly - QB and 1LP to PrimusGaming
The QB is awarded so that it is served correctly this time around (cars must DSQ not DNF when serving a qualifying ban), with an additional LP due to the incorrect action being taken.
Division 3
In division 3 this week a very chaotic race to follow but first to qualifying and SLR Jack looked quick early on as he looked to take advantage from a missing SLR Charlie.
In Q3 fastest times were changing all the time with Alpeh looking good for pole a lap, that was until SLR Jack popped in a 1.20..1
To the race then and an early pile up and spin and contact at the first chicane saw an early safety and lots of change in the order as many pitted to repair damage
Active jmc was in front though after a good start and stayed out of trouble followed by halo and debut reserve driver ads040
There was some good clean hard racing on the restart and few laps that followed with lead and thatguy passing GoldenEggFryer in the space of a couple corners as the drs became available. SLR Jack also working his way back through the field as halo took the lead of the race.
The leaders started to pit. And that left Leah out front on softs that were a few laps younger after putting lap 1. Ads, jmc and halo were fighting it out for the net lead behind.
Leah then pit from the lead, scopezzz in 2nd followed a lap later and both came out on softs compared to everyone else on the mediums With 10 laps to go.
A late safety car came out which saw everyone on mediums pit: Leah stayed out as not long pitted as well as scopezzz.. was a few laps before we got going again and scopezzz overtook Leah seemingly before the safety car line but got away with it and he lead them away. Lots of battling in behind for positions with only a few laps left, Halo connects with Leah and saw him drop down.
Another safety car appeared late on but quickly returned to the pit lane. To give two racing laps for everyone to battle it out. More chaos continued and we will quickly run over the result.
Scopezzz would take the win on track with a great last lap battle with Alpeh who finishes P2. SLR James finished on the podium so well done to him, SLR Jack P4 reserve driver RRT Just Haze P5 after sticking with it. Leah P6, skullkiller P7, SLR xhaka P8, Aps apie P9 and thatguy picks up P10 this is likely to change as stewards will have a say in a very chaotic race!

APS Apie vs ProPhil vs dRaSt1c bLazE - lap 8 - outcome - racing incident. All 3 drivers went into turn 1 going side by side slight contact was inevitably made
GoldenEggFryer vs SSR Halo - lap 1 - outcome - NFA. We believe halo we hit from behind going into turn 1 which led to halo going deep into the corner and pushing GoldenEggFryer off the track
Skullkiller - cutting the track in quali - outcome - NFA. From the clip We can see that skullkiller does cut this corner but he wouldn’t have gained time due to the nature of the corner.
SLR Xhaka vs GoldenEggFryer - lap 23 - outcome - NFA. Xhaka makes the move round the outside, slight contact is made meaning xhaka goes off the track but we are happy that we was the car ahead and came out of the incident ahead.
SLR Jack vs Alpeh - lap 22 - outcome NFA. After watching both drivers POV’s This incident was fully down to de sync therefore we can’t penalise alpeh

Division 4 season 8 Monza Italy.
After a wet 2nd and third qualification session, mixing up for the drivers, Bigbag92 qualified in first with Rsf1 Pazuzu second and Cxmzn third.
With everyone in the top 10 on softs barring Pazuzu and Cxmzn who chose the medium compound the cars lined up on the grid and awaited the lights.
at lights out vision got a fantastic launch getting upto 2nd place, a virtual safety car was called as carbon fibre flew across the track, as multiple collisions are made. as the lap continued it became apparent which drivers made it out unscathed,one of which, pazuzu having no front wing and dropping positions like a lead balloon when the VSC ended. lap one ended and 7 of the 18 drivers rolled into the pits.
By the time lap 4 has come about enough gaps had been formed with the grid forming into 2 groups of drivers the top 10 and a solid 20 seconds behind 11-18th.SLR Russell span in parabolica dropping two places to 8th.
Lap 5 Beethoven triggered the first full safety car with Bigbag, Vision and Maxwell taking the opportunity to pit. Cxmzn restarts the race at lap 8 with Bigbag92 and UnrealSalmon590 behind.
positions stay close with the top 5 hugging eachother though till lap 11 when bigbag finally took first position back and warhead pits for the mediums.
Lap 13 vision made a move taking 2nd from Cxmzn and Rosco triggers safety car number 2. safety car comes in lap 16 but with a later start a crash happens due to the dodgy start and Krisz4444 crashes out. positions stay fixed till in lap18 russell dived into the gravel in turn 2 dropping from 4th to 10th.
in lap 19 SLR marsh crashes triggering a third safety car. lap 21 safety car comes in as everyone sports softs barring the top 2 Bigbag and Vision who opted to stay on mediums.
warhead and cxmzn drop postions going into turn 1, lap 23 Russell goes into the pits and warhead battles Floersch, Cameron also retires in the pits.
Lap 25 Russell crashed and in the last lap Vision Crashed bringing the grid down to 10 remaining cars out of 18 in this rac, though positions stay close no real moves appear to be made
Bigbag crosses the line first.

Incident 1: SLR Floersch vs I Cxmzn I - Lap 22, Causing a collision
Outcome: 15 second time penalty and 4 License Points to I Cxmzn I (15 second time penalty becomes Quali Ban due to DNF)
Reason: I Cxmzn I comes into T1 far too quickly, and collides with a slow moving SLR Floersch, spinning him around.
Incident 2: St2oH vs l 21 l Maxwell - Lap 11, Causing a collision
Outcome: 5 second time penalty and 2 license points to l 21 l Maxwell
Reason: l 21 l Maxwell moves across colliding with St2oh, which causes St2oh to go onto the grass, into the braking zone.
Incident 3: St2oH vs SLR Floersch - Lap 18, Forcing another driver off track
Outcome: No Further Action
Reason: The stewards agreed that SLR Floersch has made a legitimate move on St2oh, and due to nature of the chicane a car on the outside will have to either back out or take the run off.
Incident 4: St2oH vs l 21 l Maxwell - Lap 27, Causing a collision
Outcome: No further action
Reason: St2oh loses nothing due to the small contact and thus the stewards deem no action necessary
Incident 5: Rsf1 Pazuzu vs SLR Floersch - Lap 22, Dangerous driving
Outcome: A warning to SLR Floersch for moving more than once in defence
Reason: Although not majorly dangerous, SLR Floersch does make more than 1 move when getting to the end of the straight, and thus should be reminded to only make one move when defending.
Incident 6: Beethoven974 vs Stevobrick - Lap 5, Causing a collision
Outcome: No further action
Reason: Beethoven974 defends the inside, but moves across to the left when Stevobrick is already alongside, and thus Beethoven974 takes himself out of the race
Incident 7: l 21 l Maxwell vs I Cxmzn I - Lap 1, Causing a collision
Outcome: No further action
Reason: I Cxmzn I has a very tight line into T2, so to avoid crashing into the haas on his outside slows significantly, but the stewards agreed he has not done anything wrong.
Incident 8: Rsf1 Pazuzu - Timing Glitch
Outcome: Rsf1 Pazuzu finishes 3.604 seconds behind BigBag and is classified P2 before any applied penalties.
Incient 9: l 21 l Maxwell -Timing Glitch
Outcome: l 21 l Maxwell finishes 0.368 seconds behind St2oh, and so finishes with a gap of 8.288 seconds behind the classified winner, in P6 before any penalties are applied.
Stewards Note: l 21 l Maxwell has now reached the license point threshold for an official warning for driving standards
