After a battle with his brother for the entire race, Xx JamHam xX took the win, extending his championship lead. HamJam2002 had to settle for second, missing out on the win by only 3 tenths, and bezzas1 came home for P3, another great result for the Racing Point driver. Hoopolicious once again finished in P4 after a shock Q2 exit, with Crispy2001 behind in 5th, recovering after a disappointing weekend in Russia. Raceroller22 dropped from a starting position of 5th to finish 6th, with CSR Charlie making a great debut in P7 after qualifying on the secon row. TommyReal finished 8th after a quali ban, with KevinGT9389 and UkBeastAssassin rounding out our top 10. PaRa Quickz made his full time debut for Renault, just finishing outside of the points in P11, with SLR Southerner and ZyDRAD behind him in P12 and P13. MeRkz47 finished 14th, with PSR Freeman in 15th after a disconnect with 3 laps to go, a shame as he was running 6th. Finally, V2 x Combat finished last after a spin.

Penalty awarded to merkz47 - 15 seconds 3 LP
Merkz has out-broke himself coming into the final chicane and clipped the rear off para quickz causing him to spin and lose multiple positions.
Division 1
After Qualifying 1 was bypassed the intensity ramped up throughout Q2 and by the end of Q2 seeing times as low as a 1:26.063 set by Babatunde sr. Q2 also saw Semm get through on mediums tyres meaning he would be the only one from the top 10 to start of them after going out on softs himself and I believe invalidating his lap. The pole time came right at the end of Q3 and the only man into the 25’s. Riggs set a 1:25.820.
The race brought some early battling between the top 3 of Riggsey Sillybunny and Babatunde. At the bottom end of the top 10 a great battle between Clock and jibjab was evolving. Bennett was the first man to pit on lap 8 from the 10th. There was quite a lot of late drama when a safety car was brought out on lap 20 after vandoorne lost the read through sector 1 and unfortunately Riggsey collected him followed by SLR McKeon picking up some damage. This would see a top 3 of SotierClock110, Jibjab and Jason stay out on medium Hard Medium tyres for track position and the rest of the top 10 pitting for fresh softs. This would later turn good for clock finishing in 2nd and picking up dotd. There would later be a last lap incident between multiple drivers after a collision between Sillybunny and Jibjab. The final top 3 classification being 1st Brindyboi improving his lead in the championship 2nd SotierClock110 and in 3rd SLR McKeon.

@Riggsey x vs @SillyBunny47711 Lap 12 - contact and squeezing
The stewards believe that Bunny is not at fault for the incident and contact, as Bunny attempts to leave room and the stewards believe he leaves enough to be acceptable . As a result the stewards believe it is a racing incident. Bunny ultimately 'has the corner'
Racing incident
@Riggsey x vs @SillyBunny47711 lap 23 - running driver off the track
Going into turn 1 Riggs is beside and then behind Bunny, bunny then slows to avoid contact with Predz in front of him allowing riggs to pull half way along side Bunny. By the time the duo enter the incident area Riggs front right tyre is in line with Bunnys rear left, as a result of the corner and understeer the stewards believe bunny moves to the left, however not in a way that severely alters or damages riggs race, with riggs remaining in the curb. Bunny ultimately 'has the corner' (see commonly how drivers push one another off at T1 Hungary onto the Kurb)

@Riggsey x vs @SillyBunny47711 lap 23 - moving under braking
The stewards believe that Riggs has out-broken himself resulting in damage, with the line used by Bunny being a common one used by drivers as a nature of the corner.

In Division Two this weekend at Suzuka, it was all about not making mistakes, and that is exactly what happened, right from Qualifying! It was predicted to be a Q3 pole fight between championship leader SLR FemPest and reserve Darren I 22, and that is how it looked after the first runs out. However in the final runs, SLR FemPest invalidated his lap early on, much to his frustration. Seconds later, the man on provisional pole, Darren I 22, spun at Dunlop Curve! This then meant that OwenHowell36 capitalised on the others’ mistakes and put in the fastest lap of the session to take only his second pole position in SLR.
After a tentative start, off the line it was OwenHowell36 in the lead, just ahead of SLR FemPest, managing to get ahead of mediums runner Darren I 22. After a few laps the championship leader would show his supreme pace around his favourite circuit and took the lead from OwenHowell36. The former then went for the undercut, but the gap was relatively the same. However the McLaren driver, now in P2, was held up with traffic inbetween him and the leader. This continued to be the case for the win right to the last lap, with the gap around 4 seconds. Even though OwenHowell36 halved the gap in the final lap alone, it wasn’t enough to stop the championship leader. Xx Allen xX7679 took the final spot on the podium.
SLR FemPest can now win the Division Two title next week at COTA, as long as he outscores or stay within 3 points of rockamad, within 10 of Owen and within 11 of Leah

Darren vs Alpeh - Spinning another car/causing minor wing damage (lap 24)
Outcome: 15s + 3LP awarded to Alpeh for spinning another car
Reason: Darren has presumably recovered from a spin going up the hill, and has been on the track for plenty of time, and is in front of Alpeh going into Degna 1. While his car is travelling slower (due to perhaps overheating/grassy tyres), the onus is placed on the car behind not to run into the back of them. Alpeh does exactly that, and takes the full blame on this incident, spinning Darren out into the infield.
OG James vs SLR Hicklin - causing a collision (Lap 17)
Outcome: 5s + 2LP awarded to SLR Hicklin for causing a collision
Reason: The stewards determined that Hicklin’s mistake on the kink before the hairpin is the cause of the incident, and therefore he should be held responsible for it. The stewards felt 5s + 2LP was an appropriate penalty given the severity of the collision caused by Hicklin.
SLR Teddy vs SLR Hicklin - Spinning another car (lap 6)
Outcome: Racing Incident
Reason: Teddy tries an overly ambitious move into the Spoon Curve, not having enough of his car alongside into such a high speed corner to justify having any space being left for him. He’s fortunate that he only affected his own race with this incident, hence why the RI verdict is given.
Konnichiwa from Suzuka in Japan this week in division 3 and it was Lofty4794 who put his car on pole position by 2
tenths with SLR Dolph1n in P2 on the grid. SLR Gareth just missed out on the front row by less than 6 hundredths
with SLR Dodgy making up the second row. As the lights went out and the race started it was Lofty4794 who got a
good start maintaining his position with the top 4 all getting away clean. SLR Hyperz made early moves from P7 into
P5 round the first coupe of turns and capitalised on an error from SLR Dodgy in sector 1 to take P4. SLR J3st3r who
started the race at the back was the only casualty at the start as he took a spin in sector 1. By the end of lap 1
Lofty4794 had opened over a second lead at the front and was flying ahead. The start of lap 3 saw a mistake from
SLR Gareth as he looked to make a move on SLR Dolph1n into T1 but swerved onto the grass and had to slow the car
to avoid a spin losing 2 places as both SLR Hyperz and SLR Dodgy made up places. An incident then followed in sector
1 as SLR Colden and SLR Spr1tley had a coming together resulting in both drivers leaving the circuit and losing places
Bringing out the VSC. Lap 4 then saw a clashing of wheels as GrumpyOrange976 did well not to lose the car heading
towards the Dengas after an incident with SLR St20h as I21I Maxwell took advantage to make up a place. Lap 5 then
saw I21I Maxwell running wide at the Dengas allowing Aflyinglemon318 the chance to make the pass into P13. Lap 7
then saw SLR Hyperz make a move into P2 past SLR dolph1n on the main straight as Lofty4794 was now over 3
seconds ahead in the lead.
There was then a clash of wheels after the hairpin between grumpyOrange976 and SLR
Russell which caused a huge accident as SLR Russell ended up in the wall at high speed and the car eventually resting
upside down as his race ended abruptly which surprisingly only brought out a VSC. GrumpyOrange976 then
took advantage of the VSC ending on the main straight to take P10 from Aflyinglemon318 on lap 8. The end of lap 9
then saw a cluster of cars choose to pit as SLR Dolph1n, SLR Dodgy, SLR Gareth and SLR Charlie1 P3 to P6 all came in
leaving Lofty4794 and SLR Hyperz out another lap. The pitstops moved x J Geddes X into P3 and SLR St20h into P4.
Lap 10 then saw both Lofty47494 and SLR Hyperz come in for their stops with the undercut not being effective as SLR
Dolph1n was still behind as they came back into the race as X J Geddes x was the new race leader on very old softs.
Lap 12 and SLR Nealix made a move past Aflyinglemon318 in sector 1 to take P8 as the front 6 were now quite
spread out with X J Geddes x back in P9 after his pit stop. Lap 16 then brought another VSC as X J Geddes X crashed
out in sector 1 which hindered SLR Charlie1 who had been pushing GrumpyOrange976 round the track for 3 laps
trying to take P6. I Cxzmn I then took a pin under VSC in sector 1 before the race got underway again on lap 17. SLR
Charlie1 then made it into P6 on lap 17 as GrumpyOrange976 made a pitstop as SLR Nealix was in sight of SLR
Charlie1 due to the battling with GrumpyOrange976.
By lap 19 SLR J3st3r who has gone most of the race under the
radar starting in P20 had made his way into P8 as after SLR Stevooo made a pitstop. With an uneventful final
few laps it was Lofty4794 who took the race win by 3.5 seconds with SLR Hyperz in P2 and SLR Dolph1n in P3. SLR
Dodgy took P4, SLR Gareth P5, SLR Charlie1 P6, SLR Nealix P7, SLR J3st3r P8, Scott85laney P9 and GrumpyOrange976
was P10.

1) Incident - Laney vs Cxmzn
Outcome - Racing incident
Reason - Cxmzn leaves space for Laney but Laney unfortunately just understeers into him.
2) Incident - Lemon vs GrumpyOrange
Outcome - 3LP to GrumpyOrange
Reason - GrumpyOrange is recovering to the track but blocks Lemon while rejoining.
3) Incident - Maxwell vs Orange/Russell
Outcome - Racing Incident
Reason - Very minimal contact and Russell gets sent into a wall, we believe this is down to the games contact system.

GrumpyOrange will receive a free appeal token for the incident with lemon because the stewards were not able to send him lemon’s POV before we conducted our meeting. As it’s the drivers right to have the opportunity to write a full defence statement whilst using all possible evidence we feel it is only fair for GrumpyOrange to freely do this and provide this evidence to the appeals panel if he so wishes.
