Controversy in the stewards room as JamHam takes the win at Albert park following Hoopolicious receiving a 5 second penalty for cutting the pit entry.
It would have beeen a perfect afternoon for the Ferrari driver with what was a pole and win double.
JamHam took the win from Ham the title rivals from the past two seasons again setting the tone early on, however Hoopolicious is certainly one to look out for. Midzy finished 4th in a strong showing for the Alpha Tuari team with his teammate Crispy in 5th.
Crispy had an eventful evening with a barrel roll in quali and a 5 second post race penalty but impressed with a return to form.
SLR Darnell came 6th followed by Bezzas who again continued his good form with 7th. Raceroller came home 8th with the Mercedes duo of Kevin and ZyDRAD 9th and 10th, the Mercedes master plan is not yet in full effect however I for one am intrigued to see what it entails 😜.
Merkz and Southernerz battled it out for what they hoped could’ve been P10, however it wasn’t to be and they came home 11th and 12th respectively. A strong showing on debut from last season’s division 1 champion and a result that he can build upon for the future.
It was a fall from grace for Haas with last seasons constructors champions failing to score a point, a slow start or changing of the guard in the joint constructors championship?
Niki, Jito, Smoke and Freeman were your retirements, they will all be looking to make amends in Bahrain I’m sure.
So there you have it a race that at the front was quiet even with the top 4 only being separated by 2 seconds the whole race, but further down the field action was everywhere, another good spectacle that I hope will continue as we head into Bahrain.

Division 1
And we’re back, down under!
Friday night saw Division 1 head to the first track of the calendar, Albert park! With Division 1 looking the closest and most competitive it has been at any time, everyone had high hopes for a thrilling race.
In qualifying we saw the pace as expected coming from those who was at the top of the grid last season, one who shines down under most seasons, SLR Ranga. Along with some unfamiliar names in those coming from Division 2 and Elite.
In Q3 we SLR Dylan, take pole position from SLR Ranga who locked in the front row of the grid for the start of the race. Both drivers starting on the softer compound tyre.
The start of the race saw drama as expected around a action packed Australian Grand Prix. With an early safety car saw the leaders pit in early bar 1, Cechthisout, who stayed out opting for the longer stint on the softs. SLR Ranga took advantage on lap one and overtook the Mercedes of SLR Dylan leaving him to do all the chasing. With many crashes and lots of action throughout the grid it was left for SLR Dylan and SLR Ranga to fight for the majority of the grid after clearing the last of the drivers who hadn’t stopped on the early safety car. SLR Dylan looked comfortable sitting on 90% of his ers with a quarter of the race to go. He then decided to put his foot down before the hards worn to much and saw himself pull away from SLR Ranga and opened a commanding lead.
SLR Ranga unfortunately picked up a few penalties which saw not only the win disappear from him but also a podium chance. SLR Dylan eventually came home as winner, with SLR Connor in P3 and becoming a common name on the podium, riggsey x P3.

REASON: Duncan goes round the outside of Semm and Connor. All 3 drivers make an attempt to avoid the contact but with Semm being stuck in the middle he unfortunately picks up wing damage.

REASON: Duncan enters AI mode to clip a pervious incident but when his AI takes over it turns into Bennett spinning the car. Bennett is just very unlucky in this situation due to how the AI drives.

OUTCOME: Black flag + 10LP for Morgan
REASON: Morgan puts his car between JH199 and Brindyboi when he had no business doing so. This then results in 2 retirements (Liam and brindyboi) and major wing damage for JH199

OUTCOME: Black flag + 10LP from previous incident
REASON: Morgan stays straight but lag causes him to hit into the back of JH199
SLR ranga vs SLR Dylan SC Lap 8
OUTCOME: Penalty stands for both drivers
REASON: ranga does not accelerate out of the corner falling behind the safety car. Dylan the next car exits the corner and makes contact with ranga. Both drivers considered to be at fault. ranga unnecessarily holding back on corner exit and Dylan for not being aware of the driver in front.

REASON: Unsporting behaviour. JH199 turns into Rando not leaving any space resulting in Rando loosing multiple positions.

Division 2
After a short winter break, SLR is back and so was in Div 2, and they were back to their normal ways with plenty of DNFs. We were without the big 3 from last season which meant we had a bit closer a grid than last season, with SLR FemPest taking pole by just over a tenth from rockamad73.
Unfortunately the latter’s race didn’t last too long, after he lost the back end on the exit of turn 1 and put himself out of the race. After 3 safety cars and more VSC’s, it was SLR FemPest who converted his pole to the win. A great debut for Div 3 champion craigfk saw him finish P2 with no penalties! ZachIsBeast25 picked up a fair few penalties but he managed to make it 2 straight podiums in Australia. OwenHowell36 took his fourth P4 in SLR and still hasn’t got a podium, whilst Original96 completed the Top 5. l DarkXenon l took part in only his second Div 2 race, after coming down from Div 1, and he finished P6 after penalties took him down from P3 on track. The remaining points finishers were Reserve Xx Allen xX7679, SLR Scopezz, SLR Teddy and SLR Hicklin, whilst plenty of unfortunate incidents saw SLR Panther, SLR Barlow and Cosmic Cameron9 finish outside the top 10. A massive 7 DNF’s were the case, fingers crossed we have less next week in Bahrain!

Zachisbeast25 vs SLR Barlow
Outcome: No action taken
Reason: Zachisbeast25’s safety car penalty shall not be removed due to him not providing the stewards with the race director evidence which is required to remove such penalties.
Furthermore, the incident isn’t clearly caused by SLR Barlow so no penalty is awarded to him. Drivers are however advised to not speed up and slow down suddenly under safety car and keep a safe distance to the car ahead of them to avoid such collisions.
original96 vs MRC R Leah vs Coupe a Benz vs Allen
Outcome: Warning for Coupe a Benz.
Reason: Benz brakes quite late into turn 1 and makes contact with a couple of drivers but from what evidence the stewards have been given we believe that it’s just a classic turn 1 lap 1 incident. The damage caused to original96 is not caused by Benz’s lunge. A warning is given to coupe a Benz because it is quite aggressive however the stewards don’t believe it’s enough for a penalty.
Division 3
Division 3 was back for season 6 at Australia for the first race of the new season. With the promotion of title runaways from last season Craigfk and SLR B33n into division 2 and allocation of seats to new drivers we were looking forward to what the new season would bring. It was new full-time driver Lofty4794 in the Haas that showed the real pace in qualifying as he took pole with last season`s 6th place man SLR Hyperz in the Renault joining him on the front row. Honeybadger56X in the Mercedes who came down from division 2 had some great pace to qualify in 3rd with SLR Dolphin in the Alpha Tauri who had his debut season last season also showed good pace to qualify in 4th. Unfortunately, due to connection issues both Honeybadger56X and Jacksondog123 were unable to make the start of the race which meant 20 drivers was down to 18 drivers after qualifying. As the lights went out and the race was on it was SLR Hyperz who dominated in the race as he managed to overtake Lofty4794 early on and maintain P1 for the duration of the race without too much issue. With Lofty4794 spinning on the exit of the final corner early in the race it gave SLR Dodgy in the Alfa Romeo, last season’s 3rd place finisher in division 3 the chance to push ex-teammate SLR Hyperz for the lead. The new Redbull pairing of Scott85laney and DaredPaul1986 also showed some good race pace as they we also pushing the top 3 while SLR J3st3r in the Renault who had a poor qualifying to start 12th made up some good ground in the race on the alternate strategy and was soon up in the top 5.
Despite good qualifying sessions Lofty4794 and SLR Dolphin both had eventful races with incidents causing both to spin out and take damage requiring additional pitstops and meant they were pushed down the order. SLR Gareth now in the Williams who had shown some good pace in season 5 and qualified in 8th for this race was able to progress in the race and make up a couple of places up to P6. SLR S2toh in the Alpha Tauri who started in P18 had an excellent race session making up 11 places during the race while new driver C0wen in the Alfa Romeo made good progress in his first SLR race making up 4 places during the race. SLR Spr1tley in the racing Point had a race he would want to forget as he was the only driver that did not manage to finish the race while SLR Russell in Ferrari who ended in P14 took the fastest race lap overall. At the end of the race it was SLR Hyperz who claimed the first victory of the season with SLR Dodgy in P2 and SLR J3st3r in P3 making up the podium. The RedBull pairing of Scott85laney and DaredPaul1986 took P4 and P5 respectively with SLR Gareth in P6. SLR St2oh as mentioned has a great race to take P7, SLR Colden came home in P8, C0wen was in P9 and I21I Maxwell made up the top 10 with the final points place.
