Finally its here! Season 2 of SLR is here and we literally started of with a bang didn't we? All divisions delivered as well which has happened before but its not to common is it? But in Bahrain we got lead battles, crashes, spins and also surprises or what do you think Pricey? Have you actually realized you took that that pole yet, well either way it was a surprise to me. But everything wasn't brilliant, if there's anything bad to point out it would be the turnout but since it was easter I do understand people have things to do and of course one or two races missed is no big deal. But I want to point out for all new people and those who has forgot about it but we have a rule that says 3 races missed IN A ROW will lead to the sack unless of course you tell us about it and have a valid reason. Just thought that it will be good for everyone to now and we will also follow the license point system more closely this season and any eventual license points to your name can be seen under penalties under standings and the system itself in the rules. Oh and also remember to not ready up until an admin say so, this will be penalised harder than last season. But with all that boring (but needed stuff) out of the way lets see what happened this week.
In division 1 we were all of course looking forward to see what our champion PrestoEvans could do but probably even more curious if he can get a bigger challenge this year and judging by Bahrain it defiantly looks so, its only one race I know but Im optimistic. He only managed 6th in quali and instead it was Pricetag71 fighting with yologamer666one and IL o GI c Gamer for that pole. Pricey got it but IL o GI c Gamer got the victory and the 25 points with yologamer666one and Pricetag71 joining him on the podium. Also a new feature for 2019 is a point for fastest lap and of course we are going to use it in the league as well and it was Killmongerr who snatched that extra points in division 1.
GeneralMarrow69 got that fastest lap in division 2 on his way to a solid 4th and 13 points to his tally. Interestingly enough none of the podium finishers started top 5 with the winner ontothepodium starting 8th. It was also his first win in SLR after being moved down from division 1. 2nd was Bruder Goat qualified 6th and 3rd was taken by MarleyGoneAWOL with a remarkable race after not even making it into Q3 but he showed the power of fresh rubber. Also a shoutout to THEGHOST345111 for getting that pole position its a shame his race was compromised by connection issues, live to fight another day I guess.
So both division 1 and 2 delivered a completely new winner and division 3 wasn't different from the rest with ViggoLitoo taking his first victory in SLR after a slightly different strategy working out and some help by codemasters. I of course refer to b33n 3motional and icallum who had some "contact" which ended with icallum in the wall and no front wing so instead of battling for 1st he had to settle in for a pretty shy 6th place. But someones misery also lead to another ones joy and St2oH was able to pick up his first podium in SLR finishing 3rd and the same goes for b33n 3motional who ended in 2nd place.
See you all in China hopefully a bit more people but the same brilliant racing and in fact we didn't hand out a single penalty this weekend when it comes to racing on track, so keep it going into China everyone and hope to see all of you on this weekends streams and also visit our other social medias.
PS. You will have to stand out with Scott next week since we do every second race report, so don't be to sad when you realise that SotierClock110 (me) isn't writing after China.
