Bienvenue en France! We headed back to the Southern Region of France once again in SLR, this time for Round 6 of Season 12. We didn't race here last season, so let's see how things went down after a year out! (Let's not put too much focus on my performance...)

Sparks penalty removal - denied. Hasn’t provided the correct evidence.
Roller penalty removal - denied. Hasn’t provided the correct evidence.
Incident involving Roller and Corey - NFA. Hard racing but Corey is ahead coming out of the corner.
Multiple incidents involving Jay and Justin - 5LPs and final warning to both drivers. This conduct isn’t acceptable in SLR and we expect on track actions to be better.
Division 2
For round 6 of the season, the drivers took a trip to the south of France and the Circuit Paul Ricard.
PxrpHaze 44 was the driver to claim pole position with a lap at the last which came out of nowhere. She was joined on the front row by Pricey with less than a tenth separating the pair.
Unlike last week and the safety car clean race at Portimao, this turned out to be completely different. TCP Coutinho 10 didn’t even make it through the first corner before his Mercedes succumbed to brake failure and he crashed out. Haze managed to make it through turn one in the lead to maintain her lead.
Off the race restart Haze was able to maintain the lead and there was not much change directly behind her. All of the battling was happening in the midfield and towards the back, which at the start of lap 5 led to our second safety car of the day as SLR FanyBash lost control of his car through turn two. During the safety car period Pricey decided to pit off his soft tyres which dropped him down to the back end of the field.
The race got back underway on lap 8 and Haze produced yet another perfect restart to maintain the lead over DPT Paul. Behind F1ABQW3RTYYY and THATGUY691244 had a brilliant wheel to wheel battle through the whole of sector three for third place.
Lap 11 proved to almost be the lap that Haze lost the lead after coming under some serious pressure by Paul and THATGUY, however she was able to hold on. At this point the entire field, apart from LSW L3G3ND44 due to pitting, was in a DRS train spanning from 1st all the way down to 16th, providing some spectacular racing throughout the field. Through the final sector race control called for a VSC, not sure as to why.
With the VSC ending coming onto the back straight, THATGUY was able to take full advantage and got past Haze for the lead of the race. But his lead lasted less than a straight as Haze was able to get past straight away! Due to Haze coming through, THATGUY was off line which allowed both Paul and OwenHowell to sneak it up the inside. A lap later from taking the lead of the grand prix, THATGUY found himself all the way down in 6th place. While THATGUY was tumbling, Paul managed to squeeze past Haze into the lead of the race. But his lead didn’t last long at all because the Red Bull driver pit at the end of lap 13.
Lap 14 and we had yet another lead change as OwenHowell just cruised past Haze down the back straight. Pricey and UKBeastAssassin put Haze under serious pressure too, but she managed to hold onto second place. There was however contact between Haze and Beast which resulted in damage for the Mercedes driver.
Over the next couple of laps drivers started making their planned pit stops, and just as OwenHowell and Pricey pit from the lead of this race, LSW L3G3ND44 crashed out and caused yet another safety car. A perfectly timed safety car for these, but the complete difference for Paul and Haze.
Through all of the pit stops under the safety car, Adrian VIII decided to remain out and found himself at the front of the field for the restart on lap 19. However, there were a lot of drivers behind on fresh soft tyres compared to his worn hards, so it would be a real battle for Adrian to hold onto a podium spot.
Owen was able to force his way through before the back straight, in a move that put Adrian all out of sorts and allowed the field behind to swamp him up. As he exited the chicane, Adrian lost the rear and crashed out in the wall. An incident that resulted in the fourth safety car of the race.
Disaster struck for Owen as he managed to drive past the safety car, which was waiting on the exit of turn 2 to collect the pack. A move which resulted in him getting disqualified from the race! Pricey almost did the same but was thankfully able to stop in time. An inexcusable mistake by the AlphaTauri driver, which very well cost him a race win.
On lap 22 we saw a 6 lap sprint to the finish with Pricey getting us back underway and Haze just behind in second place. The first couple of laps after the restart seemed to be feeling laps, where the field were just trying to remain together until the DRS was activated.
THATGUY manages to get past Haze for second place on lap 25; a move that Haze didn’t really try to defend due to THATGUY having a 3 second time penalty. At this point the drivers sitting first and second, Pricey and THATGUY, had 3 second pens so really needed a few qualy laps to build a gap to those behind.
Final lap and Pricey begins it with a 2.9 second lead over Haze so just needs to find a tenth for the race win. Haze manages to get past THATGUY on the back straight and put the gap between herself and Pricey to 2.5 seconds. So it all came down to who could get the best of the final sector.
Pricey crossed the line first but Haze managed to remain in the 3 second window to claim the race victory. So the top 2 from qualifying managed to come home in the same places. Meanwhile, SLR Liamm rounded off the podium after a hard fought battle with GoldenEggFryer on the final couple of laps.
Join us on Friday as we're back to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix!

Incident involving Ski Fee and Darnell - 10 second time penalty and 2 licence points to Darnell for causing a collision resulting in damage.
While no pit entry guidelines were given this is a late move into the pits while being multiple seconds up on the delta so there was ample time to react, Ski Fee received damage as well as a time penalty therefore this penalty is given.
Incident involving Fryer and Liam - 1 LP to Liam for a late move.
The reason this isn’t penalised further is due to Liam moving with Fryer is still slightly behind and not entirely clear of his car.

Incident involving Tyler, Baggie and Lofty - 15 second penalty and 3 licence points (converted to Qualifying Ban + 3LP due to DNF) to Lofty for causing multiple collisions.
Lofty goes for a gap that is never really there moves into Baggie hitting him into Tyler which sees both drivers retire from the race.
Incident involving Bad Otter and Lofty - 5 second time penalty and 1 licence point (converted to 2LP due to DNF) to Lofty.
Lofty comes to a complete stop on track which is somewhat unnecessary here. While not entirely at fault Lofty could have slowed down without completely stopping which is viewed by the stewards as a dangerous move.
