Portugal Appeals

Incident 1

Marsh vs Crispy

Original Decision - 5s + 1lp

Panel Decision - Steward decision stands

The Panel assessed the incident between Marsh and Crispy and reviewed the statement submitted by the stewards. This concluded in agreement with the stewards in the case that the door was open for a move and Crispy gets it slightly wrong, agreeing that 5s + 1lp is a sufficient penalty for this incident

Incident 2

Elite risks

Original decision - QB + 3lp

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - 15s + 3lp

The Panel assessed this incident with elite resetting to track alongside an incident of exact nature in another racing tier, and matched them up to the stewarding decisions from both teams. There was a consistency error with Elite Risks and in turn, the panel have Overturned the previous decision of a qualification ban for their next entry alongside 3 licence points, to a 15s time penalty applied to their finishing time and maintained the 3 penalty points to their licence. This is because elite risks finished the race and should have been allocated a time penalty, the original penalty would've been sufficient if Elite didn't classify. This matches the standardised decision for an incident of this nature and circumstance

It must be noted that if a driver resets to track and classifies, it will be a time penalty. If the driver resets and retires, it will be a qualification ban for their next entry

Reset to track and retire on track will be met with baseline penalties and any suggestion of inconsistency can be appealed and reassessed
