So that's Frane done then and these are the results from this week.
Elite we saw a return to form from Midzy15 who narrowly beat SLR Freeman to pole before pulling out a sizeable lead and controlling the race from the get go, Freeman put up a late charge and to his credit was gaining on Midzy but it was to no avail, ZyDRAD continued his strong form with another podium to take third.
After getting through traffic at the start of the second stint Crispy2001 came home in a solid fourth to add to his impressive showing in qualifying. Championship rivals and top 2 HamJam2002 and Xx JamHam xX came home fifth and sixth with Ham extending his championship lead, Jam however will be looking over his shoulder as ZyDRAD and Freeman closed the gap.
Ryan Jones had another steady showing in seventh showing once again his consistency and good race craft, it was the Ferrari duo of gho3t C0LT and UKBeastAssassin who took eighth and ninth respectively and despite a late puncture BDunk in the Racing Point got the last point in 10th after starting on the alternate strategy, this was helped by the contact between his teammate SLR Darnell and MeRkz47 on the last lap resulting in the RedBull driver getting considerable damage and Darnell a 20 second penalty for his efforts.
The only retirement of the race came on the 2nd lap, the Mercedes of SLR Dacey receiving terminal damage and a safety car was subsequently required to clear the wreckage.
The drivers now look onto Austria, a race where last season one of the most infamous on track battles in SLR occurred between MCR Bottas and Crazed Bear.
Friday night in division 1 saw us host the first race at the french Grand Prix. With a mixed result for some of the drivers at the higher end of the championship in qualifying, the rain made an appearance in Q2 and continuing to pour down into Q3 it produced some interesting results. With Kolka taking pole with a very impressing lap on the wet tyres.
The race started well with JH taking the lead chased down for the majority of the race by SLR McKeon. We saw a late safety car which threw a whole new group of drivers into the running and was fully taken advantage of by the low qualifying Toom3sweets who started in P15. The DOTD embraced his chances and with what was described as a bold tyre strategy won the race with brilliant composure.
In Division 2 this week we had a few problems with the game, which meant the strategy wasn’t quite the same as originally planned. Nonetheless we had a quick 5 lap inters stint to start off the race before it dried up. DnK Rando18 and bennett628 had a race-long scrap for the win, with the former taking the win. SLR Nealix came home in P3 after some super defence despite being on slower tyres at the end.
In division 3 and it was an on-track victory for Crafti3stJ3ster in the Williams only for the race win to be snatched away by SLR Dodgy in the Racing Point. Crafti3stJ3st3er being pushed back into 2nd place due to a 3 second in race penalty. SLR Dodgy who had managed to complete the race without any penalties claimed the race win by a small margin of 0.993 seconds and took his second SLR race win. It was bad luck to Crafti3stJ3ster who not only started on pole but also led most of the race whilst withstanding prolonged amounts of pressure from behind. The final podium place was claimed by SLR B33n who had a disastrous qualifying crashing out in Q1 and started the race in 18th place. It was a very solid race from SLR B33n as he had to navigate a large amount of traffic and climbed 15 places to claim 3rd place overall. Another position where penalties came into play as Sphh and SLR Hyperz were knocked down the final race order.

REASON: Baggiefan 1995 is driving extremely slow just off of the racing line on the start finish straight. Aflyinglemon tries to pick up a tow not realising how slow the other car is going. Due to the positioning of Baggies car and the speed he is going we have classed it as dangerous driving. Aflyinglemon also picks up a 5 place grid penalty from this incident which was factored in when deciding the penalty.
Baggiefan 1995 vs DingleDolphin86 (Lap 7)

REASON: Baggiefan 1995 breaks at his normal breaking point and runs into the back of DingleDolphin86 as he is battling with the car in front. This unfortunately causes Baggie to spin.
