Monaco Appeals

Incident 1

Josh vs Alpeh

Steward's Decision - 10s + 3lp

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - 1lp each

The Panel reviewed the evidence and concluded that both drivers were at fault for this incident. It must be noted that Josh did try keep their nose up the inside of the small turn before the hairpin and made contact with Alpeh, resulting in the AlphaTauri spinning round due to contact, and that from this, reviewing evidence, Alpeh makes little to no effort in acknowledging the car in the inside at the hairpin as they resume the main racing line through there. It can be recognised that it is Monaco and general racing is significantly difficult with the limited space, but the panel felt both were as bad as each other in this instance with craft and spacial awareness which led to this incident

The Panel also noted a reset to track from Alpeh and with this being mentioned in case notes and evidence, the standard 15s + 3lp penalty will be applied

Incident 2

Elite vs Ham vs Jam

Steward's Decision - 1lp for Jam and Ham

Panel Decision - Stewards Decision stands

The Panel concluded that the penalty applied for excessive AI was satisfactory in this instance. This was due to the evidence presented that the argument for further penalty was contested on speculative grounds and did not support the claims made by the challenging driver

Incident 3

Blaze vs Sam vs Egg

Steward's Decision - NFA

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - 15s + 3lp for goldenegg

The Panel reviewed the evidence and concluded that golden egg is at fault in this incident. The Panel noted the Alpine and Red Bull were fighting hard on track, and the Mercedes had just left the pitlane and didn't switch off their pitlimiter. With the nature of this incident, this was a dangerous lack of awareness and conduct, and the panel concluded that this was the main cause of this incident and have applied a penalty in grounds of a severe lack of awareness and driving etiquette
