Jeddah

McKeon

First of all qualifying, where the grid order was completely different to Bahrain! Jeddah is a completely new challenge for everyone with it generally favouring those with a wheel, and so we saw most of the top positions occupied by wheel drivers. The driver on pole position was SLR Corey, taking it by just 0.007s over SLR Ogween. Last week’s race winner crispy could only manage p8 on his pad.

Now for the start, where the noteable gainers were Semm, who jumped up from p5 to p4 off the line (a big improvement after his q1 exit last week) and crispy, who jumped up 2 places from p8 to p6. In the midfield there was chaos, with multiple people getting damage including last week’s p2 finisher and resident pit Lane speeder BRT Griffiths.

In the opening few laps it looked like the top 6 were beginning to pull away from the rest of the field, with the field being a bit spread out naturally from the several lap 1 incidents. However the 6 at the front became 5, which soon became 4 and then became 3 when the 3 Mckeon admins who were racing decided to have a bit of a spin. Inspiring stuff. Firstly crispy, who lost this car at the end of s1, then semm, who binned it at the start of s3 and then last but certainly not least raceroller. I don’t quite know how he managed it but the red bull driver managed to spin whilst entering the pit Lane, picking up a 5s speeding penalty and damage in the process. This error was crucial in the race as the lap before roller’s main rivals Corey and ogween both had a massive moment through s1 whilst battling for the lead.

Speaking of this battle, Corey had led all of the first stint and elected to cover off the undercut and ogween therefore overcut him due to Corey having to warm up his hards. However ogween had cold tyres of his own to contend with and so had a moment, which allowed Corey to catch up to him. Corey then passed the Aston Martin driver.

With the race entering its final stages it looked like things were beginning to settle down for the higher positions. Corey in p1 looked to be set for the victory, ogween was still keeping him honest but wasn’t challenging him for position and then Dylan was in aa world of his own in p3 with the two Alfa Romeos of elite and pheelthepower also in a strong position. However Phil made an unfortunate mistake in s1 which would change the race. He lost it and lost his front left wheel, bringing out the safety car. Everyone would pit under this SC except jito and most interestingly corey. The Williams driver took a massive risk with staying out on the hards. Would this pay off for him?

Onto the restart, where Corey immediately was under pressure from ogween. The Williams driver would lose that position to ogween and then was under severe pressure from elite riskz and SLR Dylan. Elite managed to pass him but was then overtaken once drs was enabled. The three drivers then went side by side into turn 1 on the final lap. Dylan backed out but unfortunately made minor contact with elite, causing the Alfa Romeo driver to spin and a roadblock to form turn 1. This caught out a few drivers and shook up the finishing order. Those who gained massively were raceroller, jito, and Wturner, with crispy and elite losing out massively. Dylan would also lose out a bit with a 5s post race penalty from the stewards.

So that was that, ogween secured the victory, Corey held on for p2 and raceroller ended up in a well recovered p3. Onto Australia next, with the new layout sure to throw a spanner in the works for the drivers.

Crowding vs para quickz - Para goes for a divebomb into turn 1 colliding with another driver.

5 seconds 2LP for para

Elite RisKz vs Dylan & stann - 5 second 2LP to Dylan for causing a driver to spin.

The stewards believe SLR stann played a no part in this incident so no penalty for him.

Snypz vs raceroller & Dylan - snypz doesn't leave enough space for roller even thought his proximity arrow goes red he still moves toward the left forcing a collision. NFA.

Dylan vs elite RisKz - given the footage we can only see Dylan being told to give back position, so NFA.

Division 1

Back again for Monday night action for Division 1.

Tonight is Round 2 at Jeddah, always a track prone to causing safety cars and creating many unexpected scenarios, and this race most certainly did not disappoint.

Quali was first off in the offering for this race and it was raining! A 1 in a million scenario and I’m sure none of these drivers had even anticipated any rain being a factor in any of the sessions tonight, and this brings a whole new level of difficulty for the drivers and they can show their ability in these tricky conditions.

Q1 began and the drivers taking laps relatively easy just to adjust to the weather and try to find the best lap they can. 2 shocks were to happen in the session though with SLR Sam crashing out after his lap and also last week's race winner UKBeastAssassin crashing out and out in Q1!

Q2 was very similar due to the weather being consistent across all the sessions, everyone out setting multiple laps, to try and find a rhythm for a good lap. Similar outcomes were to happen with 2 more casualties of the session with Evoke Replay and LP Smoke both crashing and out in Q2 but SLR Quattro leading both quali sessions so he will be one to watch out for to get pole position.

Q3, the top 10 shootout at a rain-soaked Jeddah, what could go wrong? A lot in fact, as 4 drivers were to crash out in Q3 being both Alfa Romeos of SimbarocksONE, OwenHowell36, ShutMedal, and SLR Bennett3810. But for pole, it was SLR Quattro who would take pole for the race just 0.005 ahead of the McLaren of SLR Vandoorne.

Onto the Race now, can it be as entertaining as Qualifying was? The main difference was it was completely dry for the race so, all the drivers used to the wet weather now had to completely adjust to the dry again, which is another new challenge for the drivers. Off the start, the top 2 would remain unchanged getting away well and SLR Quattro keeping the lead for now. The biggest winner off the start would be SLR Ranga gaining 3 places after Sector 1.

From Lap 2, most of the field is unchanged as the battles begin to form as DRS Trains but meanwhile, Vandoorne and Quattro battling and switching the lead positions which will be a fascinating battle to watch. On Lap 5, the first casualty of the race, SLR Ranga crashed out at Turn 5. Meanwhile, the battle for the lead heats up as Vandoorne goes alongside the Ferrari and is side by side going into Turn 1, and contact is made between the McLaren and the Ferrari sending the McLaren around dropping him to P4, this incident has gone to the stewards so one to look out for to see what the stewards think.

Lap 6 now, and SLR Sam becomes the next retirement crashing just after turn 12. His crash brings out the Safety Car! As a result of the Safety Car, everyone pitted with most choosing the Hard tyres but one rouge driver choosing to use the Soft tyres, hoping for another Safety Car so an interesting situation to keep an eye out on.

Lap 9 now and the Safety is in, and SLR Quattro is able to keep the lead ahead of ETSR Jensen 2508. Lap 11, and still the battle for the lead is close as SLR Quattro taps the inside wall at Turn 4 giving him damage! That will be a challenge to drive with until the end of the race giving Jensen the advantage. Meanwhile, at Turn 13, SLR Vandoorne spins and makes his gamble on the Softs not worth the risk and drops him out of the points.

Lap 13, and there have been a lot of battles around the field but another retiree of the race VR46 crashed exiting Turn 13 causing the second Safety Car of the race. The end of lap 15 is when the Safety Car comes back into the pits, Jensen being in P1 on the restart, gets the jump on SLR Quattro and gets a solid lead, and gets out of the 1-second zone. From Lap 16, a lot of the drivers got into their strides and holding station but on Lap 18, MeRkz47 spun just before Turn 9 and dropped down to 11th and UKBeastAssassin got past ShutMedal as the latter had to take avoiding action to not hit the Haas of MeRkz. Lap 20 and podium positions change with Riggsey x able to get past SimbarocksONE going into Turn 1 taking P3 from the Alfa Romeo.

Lap 22 now and another casualty in the race, SLR Bennett3810 spins and crashes going into Turn 22 and this brings out another Safety Car in this race! With 5 laps left to go in the race, this creates another dilemma for the Drivers, pit in for new Softs, or stay out on the Hard tyre compound? Many are undecided as SLR Quattro, SimbarocksONE, UKBeastAssassin and Evoke Replay all decide to stay out on their old Hard tyres while the rest of the field pits for new Softs. This will be a fascinating conclusion to this race.

The end of Lap 23 is when the Safety Car goes back into the pits, and this commences the beginning of the final two laps of this crazy race. Quattro bolts and keeps the lead going onto the start of Lap 24, ETSR Jensen2508 goes for a dive on Evoke Replay gets past him but taps the rear of UKBeastAssassin makes contact with the Mercedes of Evoke Replay and gets sent into a half spin by contact with the Red Bull of Riggsey x, losing his chance to be able to get the win or even a podium at the end of this race.

Riggsey also gets a penalty for track limits, which will seriously damage his finishing spot. At the end of the lap, one of the Soft runners also gets into 2nd place overtaking SimbarocksONE going into the last corner taking 2nd but with the penalty, an almost impossible task to keep the spot come to the end of the race. Lap 25 now and MeRkz gets ahead of ShutMedal down the straight and goes for the overtake on the inside of Turn 1 on Evoke Replay and gets the overtake done on the Haas round the outside of Turn 2 with a fantastic overtake.

End of the lap, with many drivers looking for overtakes, SLR Quattro, is able to keep the lead and wins the race! SimbarocksONE comes home in P2, who will be happy after his crash in Q3. UKBeastAssassin claims the final podium position after gaining 12 positions to cap off a fantastic race from the Championship leader. ETSR Jensen comes home in P6, sure he isn’t most pleased, after leading the majority of the last 10 laps of the race before the third safety car had come out.

What a race this was for Division 1, and if it hasn't shown people this is one of the most exciting divisions in the league I don’t know what will. Next time out is at Australia for Round 3 of the championship and let’s just hope for the same excitement as Round 2 has brought us. Until then have a great week and look forward to next Monday!

Evoke Replays vs ETSR Jensen2508 - Lap 24 - Causing A Collision

Verdict: NFA

The stewards see that Jensen braked late going into turn 1 and made slight contact but it didn't affect anyone but himself causing him to spin

SLR Vandoorne vs SLR Quattro - Lap 6 - Spinning Another Car

Verdict: NFA

The stewards feel quattro left enough space for vandoorne down the inside going into turn 1 he was just unfortunate that the slight contact caused him to spin

Division 2

2nd week of the season in division 2 and the tricky street circuit in qualifying it was division 3 champ SLR Charlie who took pole with a great lap at the end who pips j Lee menzz GoldenEggFryer making his debut in the division was 3rd fresh off tying the knot. Joined by SLR Jack on the second row.

To the race then and j Lee menz continued his tradition of the season of going backwards off the start and dropped places. SLR Charlie kept his lead as badottertv became the first to retire this bought out a VSC.

Lap 3 back up to full racing speed GoldenEggFryer got the lead off Charlie as we entered lap 4 a full safety car was required.

Lap 7 now on hard tyres menz made a great move on Andrew and quickly followed that up with another overtake this time on SLR moley.

Meanwhile out front there was a 3 way battle for the lead between 3 drivers that were in division 3 last season, GoldenEggFryer managing to hold off Jack and Charlie this time though.

Drivers started to struggle with tyre wear. As the pit window opened. As GoldenEggFryer pitted from the lead, a safety car came out and this really hampered his attempt at using the fresh tyres to his advantage and continue to lead as now the field got to pit and eggfryer found himself in p5. Lots of different tyre strategies were now in play looking to go to the end.

On the restart a pile up at turn 1! Saw 6/7 drivers involved. SLR Jack now leading from j Lee menz. LSW legend and cscmorris the mclaren team was now 3rd and 4th with 7 laps to go.

Another safety car on lap 20 saw more pit stops for fresh tyres. Adrian and Morris chose to stay out. Morris made a move for the lead but went deep as SLR Jack got the cut back as they were 3 wide heading towards turn 3.

Jack now on fresh softs looked to go after Adrian who was on mediums and got the move on the next lap at turn 1.

With on lily a couple of laps left menz got passed Adrian for P2 as he spun.

Menz then made up time and we had a last lap showdown between menz and Jack for the win. Going into the last corner they both had a fantastic exit and was neck and neck heading to the line. But SLR Jack just took the win by .048 of a second from menz another tight finish that Jack is involved in. But an important win for him in this new division.

LSW legend claimed P3 with a good solid drive and ARL Predators some what out of no where P4 and sooterclock P5. SLR moley P6

Incidents 1&2:

Adrian Vs Game - NFA

The stewards have noted these incidents but as with all game glitches there is nothing that we can do about these. It's recommended that in future cases game glitches are sent to admins and/or LOs as they deal with these situations.

Incident 3:

SLR Charlie Vs AndrewF1 - QB and 3LP to AndrewF1 for spinning another car.

Andrew brakes too late, hitting the back of Charlie and causing him to spin. A QB has been awarded for this incident as it leads to a chain reaction behind involving multiple drivers.

Incident 4:

SotierClock110 Vs SouthRaptor966 - 10s and 3LP to SouthRaptor966 for spinning another car.

SouthRaptor966 brakes too late, hitting the back of Clock and causing him to spin. Whilst another incident has occurred ahead, drivers are reminded that they should slow down and show more caution when yellow flags are shown.

Incident 5:

SotierClock110 Vs SLR Moley - 10s and 3LP to SLR Moley for spinning another car.

It is the responsibility of the driver behind to avoid contact in this situation. Whilst Clock does brake slightly earlier than normal, it's worth noting that there is another car (Adrian) on the outside of the corner and so by braking early he is allowing room for the Alpine around his outside.

Incident 6:

SotierClock110 Vs M Mcloughlin x - 10s and 2LP to M McLoughlin for causing major wing damage. (QB due to DNF).

M McLoughlin brakes too late and hits the back of Clock, causing the Alfa Romeo driver to make contact with the wall, resulting in the loss of the right hand side of his front wing. The stewards took into consideration the fact that this incident occurred on the opening lap of the race, but it is also worth reminding drivers to take extra caution at the start of the grand prix in order to avoid such incidents.

Incident 7:

GoldenEggFryer reporting the Turn 1, Lap 17 incident - 15s and 3LP to LSW L3G3ND for causing a collision.

Legend hits the back of EggFryer, causing him to spin and sustain severe damage.

Incident 8:

GoldenEggFryer Vs AndrewF1 - 15s and 3LP to AndrewF1 for causing a major collision.

AndrewF1 squeezes Fryer into the wall, causing sever wing damage.

*Race Ban and 6LP in total for AndrewF1 for his involvement in multiple sever incidents.

Incident 9:

SouthRaptor966 Vs LSW L3G3ND - 10s and 2LP to LSW L3G3ND for causing a collision.

L3G3ND squeezes Raptor into the wall, causing major wing damage. This incident was less clear than Incident 8, hence a less severe penalty was awarded.

Incident 10:

5s and 1LP to SLR Jack for overtaking off track.

Whilst the drivers are 3 wide, Jack still completes his move on Morris off the race track and does not give the place back after rejoining the circuit. Whilst the game did not penalise him for an illegal overtake, the evidence provided to us suggests that a clear advantage was gained by the Alfa Romeo driver going off track.

Q3 incident involving THATGUY691244 & bl3in5121

Outcome: Qualifying Ban + 2LP to bl3in5121

Reason: this is a clear block, ruining THATGUY’s lap.

Lap 1 incident involving SLR Xhaka & TIR JustHaze

Outcome: Racing Incident

Reason: We believe there is not much here to warrant a penalty for Haze, when she sees that Xhaka is alongside she attempts to move back to her original position.

Lap 7 incident involving Fat Ted24 & bl3in5121

Outcome: No Further Action

Reason: there is not enough reasoning for us to award a penalty for this incident, however drivers are reminded to keep their distance under safety car conditions.

Lap 8 incident involving SLR Allen, F1 Warhead & MVT Hurww

Outcome: 3LP to MVT Hurww

Reason: Hurww outbreaks themselves hitting the back of F1 Warhead, spinning him into Allen and causing a chain reaction.

Lap 9 incident involving F1 Warhead & Swinners28

Outcome: 2LP to Swinners28

Reason: Swinners hits Warhead into Turn 3 causing him to spin into the barrier and receive terminal damage.

Lap 9 incident involving dRaSt1k bLazE & Swinners28

Outcome: No Further Action

Reason: dRaSt1k bLazE loses nothing from this incident, and if anyone was affected it was Swinners who was to blame.

Lap 12 incident involving AdaaamLeee x, TIR JustHaze, SSR Halo, MVT Hurww & Bcfcjosh1232752

Outcome: Qualifying Ban + 4LP to Bcfcjosh1232572, 2LP to MVT Hurww

Reason: BcfcJosh has quit the lobby and left his car out on track rather than retiring in the pits, and the car that should not have been in the race has caused a massive incident involving multiple cars. MVT Hurww is also awarded license points due to excessive slowing down on the straight to let the cars by, which has also played a big part in this incident.

Lap 13 incident involving ZH acidz

Outcome: No Further Action

Reason: the clip provided did not show enough evidence to suggest an excessive use of AI.

Lap 15 incident involving dRaSt1k bLazE & SLR EVVO

Outcome: 2LP to SLR EVVO

Reason: SLR EVVO has broken far too late into Turn 1 causing sidepod damage to dRaSt1k bLazE.

Lap 15 incident involving SLR Allen & SSR Halo

Outcome: 2LP to SSR Halo

Reason: Halo approaches Turn 3 with far too much speed, causing SLR Allen to spin.

Lap 15 incident involving SLR Allen & TIRCODZILLA

Outcome: Qualifying Ban + 3LP to TIRCODZILLA

Reason: TIRCODZILLA has re-entered the track in an extremely unsafe manner, and such has caused terminal damage to SLR Allen.

Lap 23 incident involving BigBag92 & Alpeh

Outcome: 5s + 2LP to Alpeh

Reason: Alpeh brakes too late causing a collision with BigBag92, and subsequently spinning him round.

MVT Hurww warning for accumulating 6LP

Division 4

We are off and running in Jeddah, the leaders get off the line well but Hicklin struggles to move and its leads to an incident very reminiscence of Enzo Fittipaldi and Theo.

Round to turn 3 I believe and Cameron is round and in the wall and its our first DNF of the evening.

Harvey spins around midway through the lap and a few drivers must take evasive action and 7 drivers box to fix damage or change tyres.

Lap 2 see's many of our drivers struggling for grip round the twisty nature of sector 1. Beethoven passes Maxwell for 3rd and the Haas of Maxwell is round and its major wing damage at the rear of the car as Hicklin retires further back.

The VSC is deployed and Lenbau and Maxwell have boxed and just after it was stopped SmitHPDan boxed.

St2oh then had a moment, whilst Russell had one at the elevated hairpin. Lap 3 saw another spin for Maxwell as the rear wing continue to hamper the car and i think St2oh may have the same issue. Russell then had a crash and he DNF's from this race.

Lap 5 saw Beethoven overtake Pazuzu whilst SmithHPdan was facing the wrong way and S2toh races ends at this moment too.

Onto lap 6 and Maxwell crashes out with rear wing damage only Stevo and Harvey pit as this bunches the field up behind Darkstorm.

Darkstorm pits the lap later as does Pazuzu with Beethoven taking the lead.

The safety car comes in on lap 11 and we are green and racing and at the end of it Lenbau boxes and changes to hards to the end.

Harvey and JPP come together slightly on lap 12 and Harvey takes P7.

The end up lap 13 see's Darkstorm round the outside of Richie to take P2 as the Mercedes man boxes for fresh hards.

Harvey makes a move on Nedklaw on Lap14 to take p5, very nice move indeeed, whilst Lenbau takes Richie for P9, as Richie tries to get heat in his tyres. TOTOWOLF and Nedklaw both pit onto softs.

Whilst this happened Stevo passes JPP for P5.

Lap 16 saw TOTOWOLF box to fix wing damage and change to another set of softs.

Lap 17 saw Stevo have a bit of an issue and Lenbau managed to overtake both Stevo and JPP into P5, great use of slipstream and DRS.

Richie has also joined the battled and he passes JPP into P7 however a little squiggle sees JPP get back ahead.

Start of lap 18 sees Beethoven box from 1st onto fresh softs and rejoins P4.

Lap19 and Richie has pitted for softs, whilst SLR TOTOWOLF has retired and we have a VSC.

Harvey picks up a drivethrough for speeding under the VSC, which will see his podium hopes dash before his eyes. Whilst Nedklaw boxes for fresh softs.

Lap 21 and JPP goes very deep and nearly ito the back of Stevo whilst Richie passes Nedklaw for P8. Beethoven takes P3 and he can begin his chase of Pazuzu.

Lap 22 and Harvey serves his drivethrough and comes out in P5 just ahead of Stevo.

Lap 23 and the battle continues between Stevo and JPP, mega stuff by these two warriors as Pazuau takes a spin and Lenbau moves up to p3 and JPP regained the position.

Lap 24 saw Beethoven spin and he comes back on the racing line and he's taking Lenbau, both lose their front wings and Pazuzu is back in the battle.

Final lap and due to keeping his head Darkstorm has a 20 second lead and he wins the Saudi GP with Pazuzu 2nd and Lenbau 3rd.

Incident 1: St2oh and HarveyOC - Lap 1, Causing a collision

Outcome: 10 Second time penalty and 3 License points to HarveyOC

Reason: HarveyOC was not considerably alongside, and on the outside on approach to the corner. there was more space on the outside for HarveyOC to use, but as he doesn't he collects St2oh's rear left wheel and spins them both, giving St2oh wing damage.

Incident 2: SLRTOTOWOLF and SLR Hicklin - Lap 1, Causing a collision

Outcome: Qualifying ban and 5 License points to SLR Hicklin

Reason: SLR Hicklin provided the stewards no reason as to why he did not set off once the lights had gone out, and SLRTOTOWOLF had almost no chance to react as the car in front of him only just managed to get past. This collision then multiplied as more drivers could no avoid the incident ahead.

Incident 3: I Cxmzn I and Lenbau04 - Lap 1, Causing a collision

Outcome: No further action

Reason: I Cxmzn I does not follow the track as it bends left, and this leads him into the side of Lenbau04. The stewards deemed this to be I Cxmzn I own fault.

Incident 4: HarveyOC and JPPGaming96 - Lap 12, Causing a collision

Outcome: 5 Second time penalty and 2 License points to JPPGaming96

Reason: HarveyOC was alongside JPPGaming96 and although it is not common to make overtakes in S1, JPPGaming96 should have left HarveyOC space.

Stewards note: SLR Hicklin has accrued 9 License points, and so receives an official warning for driving standards and a qualifying ban from the stewards as per the SLR License point rules.
