For the last time in SLR F2 we have triple race round and we have it at Mexico. A track that brings out the best and worst in drivers and a round that will have lots of points up for grabs. The Drivers, Constructors and Evo championships could all be sealed today should results go in their favour.
One Shot Quali! Drama before a steering wheel is turned as SLR Corey is the latest victim to be booted out of a lobby before a set up is chosen. The championship leader would still find his AI qualifying eleventh. To add to his blow the late chasing SLR Jam would take F2 pole position and claim the first points of the round.
Sprint Race One! SLR Bennett is on reverse grid pole. First phase of this race it was the front starting runners holding their own. Wasn’t until a few laps in the quicker guys started making their moves. Griffiths, SLR Ham, SLR Jam and SLR Corey all started making their way through the pack at the expense of SLR Bennett and a few others. A late safety car potentially threw things up into the air however SLR Griffiths would come out on top! Ham would miss out by three tenths! Jam takes third just fending off Corey. The top four only separated by one point two seconds! Back in tenth SLR Charlie was your first Evo Sprint winner!
Sprint Race Two! SLR Charlie was your reverse grid pole sitter. As per the previous race it took a few laps for the quicker guys to make their way up the grid. SLR Charlie unfortunately finding himself slipping back. With a safety car free race this proved to be a race of an indicator of the gap in pace between drivers. The Nobles well and truly showing their hand once more with a distant Para Quickz behind. Further back SLR Darnell was making his way back through the grid taking his brother in the process. Come the finish SLR Jam continues his stellar form to take another win! Massive for the Championship closing the gap just a little bit more. SLR Ham made it a Noble one - two with Para taking that distant third place finish. Credit to Darnell making his way up to fifth despite starting back in seventeenth. SLR Charlie back in tenth despite falling back found himself as the Evo Sprint winner for the second race in a row.
The Feature! Here we go for the main event! Going into turn one we saw contact as three cars have a drag race from the grid. SLR Southerner coming off worse. Was your usual suspects at the front with Ham, Darnell, Griffiths and Jam. Contact between Darnell and Jam would send the Campos driver into a half spin however did not lose an awful lot of ground meaning his charge was still on. After the pitstop phase SLR Jam was your leader however a bit behind you had Ham and Griffiths on the super soft tyres who would show blistering pace! Ham was flying and within a few laps would overtake title contender and brother Jam for the race lead! With three laps to go Ham picks up a three second time pen! Massive for the race which means come the finish SLR Jam makes it a double race win this round which will take the championship battle to the finale! The Campos driver having an unbelievable end of the season. SLR Ham has to settle for another second strengthening his fight to finish fourth in the standings. Griffiths takes the final podium spot in third. Down in fourteenth it was still a great race for SLR Charlie who made it a hat trick of Evo wins this round which was massive for his Evo title challenge.
We have a week off next week then we are off to Abu Dhabi where hopefully both drivers fighting for the championship will be there on track…..stewards pending of typing this. One championship was sealed today which was the constructors! Massive congratulations to the Campos pair of SLR Jam and UKBeastAssassin.
Who will be your Drivers and Evo Champions? We wait and see when we have our duel in the desert! Will we have our sixth F2 champion in six seasons or our first ever double time F2 champion?!

PaRa Quickz rejoins the track in a bad place 5 Second and 1 LP. BaggieFan 1995 gets an illegal overtake warning on PaRa Quickz when BaggieFan 1995 is slowing down to enable PaRa Quickz to pass PaRa hits into the back of him causing a collision and major damage to BaggieFan 1995 front wing.
