Interlagos

McKeon

Title finally won at interlagos?

With 3 rounds to go last season’s runner-up midzy had his third chance to wrap up the Mckeon division title. This time it was a lot simpler. Raceroller would essentially have to win the race to keep it going until at least the final 2 rounds of the season.

Onto qualifying, which is always close at Brazil. Astonishingly the cutoff to get into q3 was a 1:06.8. Extremely quick times from the majority of the field. Roller was one of those to get knocked out in q2, lining up 13th. It would be a mammoth task to win from there.

Onto q3, where pretty much everyone nailed their laps. Crispy is one of the quickest drivers of the division and put in a pretty solid lap of a 1:06.7, yet lined up 10th. To be in the running for pole, near perfect laps were required. Ogween was up to the task over 1 lap and delivered an excellent pole position lap of a 1:06.3! Midzy would like up p2 beside him.

Onto the race and Corey had a very good start, fighting hard with debutants wturn3r and tenwholedollars for a top 3 position at the start of the race. This allowed midzy and ogween to put themselves in a very strong position at the front and once the pit stops had shaken out they’d broken drs on the rest of the field. Behind them there was a colossal fight for the rest of the points positions. Tenwholedollars and crispy had managed to break clear of the chaos but Corey, snypz and turner all picked up damage just after the stops. Shoutout Corey for picking up this damage in the pit Lane itself. Inspirational stuff. This would allow the alternate strategy runners of roller, para and ZyDRAD to be in contention for a podium. Para had dropped back behind semm to save fuel so roller and para would pull clear, until they encountered Tenwholedollars. He had pitted early for mediums and also had to save fuel. More on this later.

Back to the battle for the lead, where midzy and ogween traded places multiple times. Entering the final lap midzy was ahead, but ogween had the drs and made the move into turn 4. However the two of them made contact and midzy would spin! This would drop him right with tenwholedollars’s train. This train had become massive due to tenwholedollars fuel saving. This allowed Para to catch up to the train and with no pens he gained massively. In the space of a few laps para got within ZyDRAD, crispy and roller’s penalty windows, got ahead of midzy after his spin (and an additional spin after contact with roller) and to put the icing on the cake, tenwholedollars would run out of fuel, putting para ahead of him. Therefore para finished p2! Midzy would complete the podium with raceroller in p4. Shout-out to ZyDRAD who finished p2 on track after a q1 exit but sped into the pits, costing him multiple places.

These results mean one thing though. We have a new champion!

After missing out on the championship by the smallest of margins and THAT last lap last season, midzy has not touched grass in the last 14 races and dominated this season. In all seriousness, massive congratulations to the mclaren driver, who really has been a class above everyone else this season and is a thoroughly deserved champion.

Only one question remains now. Will anyone catch him next season?

Incident 1: RaceRoller vs Midzy - 3sec & 1LP to RaceRoller for causing a collision

From evidence given, the stewards agree that the blame for this incident lies with RaceRoller. This is because upon entry to the corner no space is left for Midzy to take the corner and essentially is left with no room. Fortunately, this incident resulted in little impact race wise which is the reason behind only a 3second penalty rather than a typical 5second for causing a collision.

Divison 1

After stealing the win last week at USA on the final lap (Arbon is still upset couldn't you tell?) Elite x Riskz knew the championship is now firmly in his grasp as we head into Brazil. He can't mathematically confirm it but he could make his life quite easy for himself in Jeddah with a good result as his nearest rival SLR Cech was absent again. In Truth many where absent as only 15 drivers made the grid but regardless it was still a great race.

Elite was once again the class of the Field in qualifying starting on pole for another race and look to set the pace early as he built up 1.3 second lead on lap 1 from Levi King. The Alpine was on the medium tyres however after an impressive lap in q2 and was being quite the blockade for the frustrated soft runners behind. By the time the second soft runner of Shut Medal got past Elite had already a 2.1 second lead.

Also on lap 1 we had our first retirement of J Lee Menz aka "The other alpha tuari" according me last week. Menz had contact with DPT Alfie in the first sector causing him to spin round he then swiftly retired straight after. Wether he crashed or retired on track is a mystery but regardless Menz was the first driver to Dnf this race.

SLR Qauttro his team mate would also have a difficult start after spinning on the second kerb at the Senna S which would send him too the back and lose him a heap of time.

Elsewhere the alternate strategy runners where doing their best to ruin their races by battling like they're fighting Elite for the championship , expect they weren't, they where fighting for p9 Arbon and Alfie where the main protagonists in this battle with Arbon trying to get past and get rid of the Williams clearly having superior pace at the time after disconnections in q2 meant he couldn't set a proper lap. Arbon managed to get moves done down into turn 1 but Alfie kept on retaliating into turn 4 and got back past Arbon on the inside and outside quite to Arbon's frustration. ARL Tooman making his return was also getting held up due to this battle along with DPT Paul Alfie's team mate. Tooman took it into his own hands. Tooman rather smartly saved his battery whilst Arbon and alife had less battery then a teenager's IPhone so Tooman breezed past the pair of them making them look foolish.

Elsewhere in the midfield SimbarocksONE was making moves after his championship campaign really ended in disappointing fashion in USA. The Aston Martin got passed Zachisbeast on lap 3 and then a couple laps later done a switch with his team mate SLR Vandoorne who was doing a great job considering he has struggled quite a lot this season in division 1. These moves would put Simba up into p6 and put him right onto the back of UK Beast Assassin and levi on medium tyres after he got passed by Jensen.

Then on lap 10 we got our first big moment as the two Williams driver of Paul and Alfie into turn 4. Paul seemingly was late on the brakes trying to lose more time battling Arbon and completely missed his braking point on the inside and swipped his team mate ahead sending them both into the wall. Alife had his wheel taken off and Paul retired in the pits in frustration after the events at T4.

Wasn't the best driving from Paul. Wasn't it? No it wasn't. That crash meant a saftey car would be deployed. Which would bring the field together again. And also screw over anyone starting on mediums.

Levi and Jensen chose to stay out despite everyone else pitting. Jensen I'm sure will be looking back at that decision with regret but more on that later. All the alt strat runners apart from Arbon went with the soft tyres accepting a two stop strategy. The Red Bull pitted again for mediums too take them too the end of the race and would be at the back of the grid for the restart.

Elite Riskz would be disappointed that his 5 second lead was reduced to nothing but on the restart he made light work of Levi and Jensen on the restart from p3 and would then pull away again in the distance as his pace was just so clear of everyone else this weekend.

Jensen would causing a massive train on his 14 lap old softs clearly which had seen better days and despite having to double stack behind his team mate and after lap 16 finally pitted after being past by Vandoorne on fresh softs and making key moves and was up into p2 after passing Beast, Levi and Simba.

Meanwhile the battle for p8 was heating up as Arbon and Qauttro battling through the entire middle sector on lap 20 and then into turn 1 it was 3 wide with Barlow getting involved and the latter was worst off running off and losing 2 seconds.

On the same lap Levi pitted and looked to make a charge on the softs and fight back after unlucky saftey car timing. Back at the front Vandoorne's tyres where starting to degrade and that meant Beast was vulnerable to Vandoorne's team mate Simba and Beast made the move into turn 1 and then Aston Martins did a simple which of drivers so Simba could follow the Red Bull. As the for the other Red bull of Arbon things went from bad to worse as he hit the back of Quattro into turn 1 picking up major front wing damage and that was his race over. He did pit for a temporary fastest lap and uncharacteristically retired in the pitlane and will be looking to bounce back in Jeddah next week.

This stage of the race gaps where starting to open up the midfield the main focus was the battle for p2 with Elite still running away with it on lap 24 Simba managed to overtake Beast to take the second spot on the podium for now as Vandoorne and Barlow made their second stops of the race in the meantime.

Levi who was trying to fightback got past Jensen on the same lap however Jensen decided to fight a driver on fresh softs down into turn 4 and the two came together as Levi hit Jensen sidepod which what looked to be a racing incident. Levi clearly in frustration reset to track which could cost him further positions in the stewards room which could prove costly considering the battle for the constructors with Red bull.

The race entered a quiet phase as we was eagerly waiting for Beast to try and make a move for p2 and that move came on lap 29 down the inside into turn 1 but the battle was far from over as they went to battle once again on the final lap as Simba saved up his resources and went for a move down into turn 4 and made it stick slight contact but nothing major.

Meanwhile Elite x Riskz takes a dominate win in Brazil and can wrap it up next week in Jeddah with a point. Simba takes p2 from Beast in P3 like what was mentioned. Shut Medal with another p4 who was with the battle for p2 but just sat back with a penalty too his name and settles for p4. Some timing Glitch issues but Zachisbeast which is his best result of the season crossed the line in p5 but he will need to sort out his timing glitch issues after disconnecting mid race. Jensen picks up p6 and wonders what might of been with a correct Saftey car call. Qauttro recovers well for p7 after his earlier spin. Leviking p8 and similar to Jensen probably feels like he deserved more out of the race. Vandoorne and Tooman complete the top ten after Barlow crashed on the final straight of the final lap to deny himself p10.

Drivers championship over? Probably, but still plenty to fight for in the constructors with Red Bull and Alpine only 5 points apart after UKbeastassasian's podium. Make sure you join us for Jeddah Monday 7pm

ARL Tooman vs UKBeastassassin

Outcome: racing incident

Reason: beast made sure he had plenty of room behind the car in front, tooman went too close to the car in front and in the end unfortunately lost some of his wing in the progress.

Division 2

We head south from Austin to Sao Paulo and the famous Interlagos circuit for round 14 of the championship. For a race where the action is always frantic and a close finish.

In Qualifying it was VapidCoot74 who took pole position. A position he needs to convert into a race win in order to keep any form of pressure on his teammate and championship rival I VR46 I. It was VR46 that lined up in second place.

So the five red lights go out and we are underway! VapidCoot74 gets a brilliant launch off the line and if comfortably ahead as we enter turn 1. VR46 on the other hand had a shocking start, entering turn 1 alongside the driver that started in 4th CSCMorris. As they sweep through turn 2 and 3 CSCMorris is able to get up into second place. SLR Liamm is able to follow Morris through pushing VR46 down into 4th place.

Lap 4 and with DRS now activated we are seeing the usual Brazil DRS train form. Drivers from 2nd all the way down to 13th are within a second of one another. SLR Liamm is able to make use of the DRS down into turn 4 as he easily sends it down the inside of Morris to take P2. With all the of battling behind VapidCoot74 has managed to almost pull a 2 second gap.

As it always seems at this track we made it to lap 12 within the blink of an eye. The front 3, the same front 3 we had all race long in Austin, do battle. Due to a disconnect Morris has dropped off leaving Liamm to fend off both Alfa Romeos alone. VapidCoot74 still holds onto the lead but only just. It is at this point Liamm decides to dive into the pit lane to attempt a undercut, but as he enters the pits he speeds upon entry! Gaining a 5 second penalty which may become costly towards the end.

On the next pass of the pits VapidCoot74 decides to stay out showing no care of Liamm’s undercut attempts. However his teammate VR46 does enter the pits looking for a undercut of his own.

Lap 14 and VapidCoot74 does decide to pit but it proved very costly going those extra couple laps as both VR46 and Liamm jump him.

Lap 19 and Liamm manages to work his way through the cars yet to pit in order to claim first on track. VapidCoot74 and VR are not finding it so easy, a move which has given Liamm a 3.5 second lead over his closest challengers.

Safety Car! Lap 24 LHarriman25 is our first retirement of the race after colliding with the pit wall on the exit of turn 1. This comes as an absolute disaster for our race leader SLR Liamm who just goes past the pit entry as the safety car is launched. But everyone behind has the time to react and utilise the opportunity to put some fresh tyres on. Apart from OwenHowell36 who only pitted 4 laps ago so decides to stay out and take second place.

To make matters worse Liamm is collected by the safety car at turn 4 so not even able to get around quickly to pit himself. Liamm does decide to pit for Softs, the only option he had really. He also serves his 5 second time penalty and rejoins all the way down in 13th.

So OwenHowell36 now has the lead of this Grand Prix with VapidCoot74 in second place on fresher tyres. BadOtterTV is up into 3rd, VR46 has dropped to 5th due to the double stack with his teammate in the pits.

The safety car returns to the pits on lap 28 giving us a 9 lap sprint to the end. OwenHowell gets a great launch, catching VapidCoot74 napping on the restart and creates a 1 second lead with ease. VapidCoot74 comes under massive pressure from both BadOtterTV and CSCMorris behind. BadOtter is able to make a move through turn 4/5 and claim 2nd place as his own.

Lap 30 and with DRS activated once again the DRS train forms once more. CSCMorris almost used it to his advantage going down into T4 but didn’t have enough to complete the move for P3.

Lap 31 BadOtterTV is able to use the DRS into turn 4 to overtake OwenHowell36 around the outside for the lead of the race. But with 6 seconds worth of penalties he needs to get a move on if he wants to win this race. CSCMorris manages to get past VapidCoot74 into 3rd, there could have been contact between the two as Coot also loses out to his teammate VR46!

Lap 35 starts with a bang. CSCMorris tries to go around the outside of OwenHowell36 for P2 into turn 1 but is squeezed onto the race. Losing control of his car he has to bail for the run off area. But as he rejoins he seems to come across VapidCoot74 a little too much and causes the Alfa Romeo driver to spin!

Final lap. BadOtterTV is still out in front and looking very likely to take the on track win. But with those penalties lingering the battler for first seems to be between OwenHowell36 and CSCMorris just behind. Into turn 4 Morris is able to get past OwenHowell36. But as we cross the line things become a little hectic due to in game penalties and timing glitches.

BadOtterTV crosses the line first but drops to P6 due to his penalties. CSCMorris crosses in P2 but drops to P3 due to a timing glitch from his disconnect earlier. So you’d say Morris should be our race winner but of course he will be in the stewards room later for that incident with VapidCoot74.

OwenHowell36 crosses the line in P3 but due to the above is our race winner! And talking of a penalty free race being huge Adrian VIII is the man that takes P2 from out of nowhere! Crossing the line in P7 but due to those ahead having penalties he is rewarded massively for keeping it clean.

What a crazy end to a thrilling race! Join us next week as we head to the Middle East to finish off this season.

Incident 1:

VapidCoot74 Vs CSCMorris - 5s and 1LP to CSCMorris for causing a collision.

Morris outbrakes himself, causing Vapid to lose multiple positions.

Incident 2:

VapidCoot74 Vs CSCMorris - 10s and 2LP to CSCMorris for spinning another car.

Morris rejoins after t2 in a dangerous manor and does not leave space for Vapid who is fully over to the elft hand side of the circuit.

Incident 3:

AdaaamLeee x - 15s and 4LP for resetting to track (QB due to DNF)

This is a clear breach of the rules. An extra LP is awarded as the evidence provided suggests that Adam has intentionally driven to a part of the circuit that automatically resets your car to avoid a track limits penalty.

Incident 4:

Safety Car restart - NFA

There is a lack of evidence to suggest any wrongdoing here. The lead car (OwenHowell36) maintains a constant speed and is not driving in an erratic manner therefore there is no fault on his account. Drivers are reminded to remain in position and to stay at a constant pace until there is a green flag on safety car restarts so that incidents can be avoided as best as possible.

Official warning to CSCMorris for accumulating 6LP.

Official warning to VapidCoot74 for accumulating 6LP.

Division 3

In division 3 this week a hotly contested qualifying saw Fat Ted24 take pole with a brilliant lap. Championship leader SLR Jack would join him on the front row, well RRT justhaze and SLR Charlie were on the second row.

To the race then. Jack got a better launch than ted to take the lead but ted would take that back on the next lap. SLR EVVO and Alpeh made the best starts of everyone gaining 4 and 5 places respectively.

A few laps passed and the lead kept changing hands with the help of drs. Then on lap 8 a three way battle for the lead saw justhaze come out in the lead with a double overtake going into turn 3. On the next lap ted ran in to the back of haze and that saw him spin round. This gave haze a couple second lead which is crucial round here.

Reserve driver ads040 was the first to pit well running P3 and went on to softs which committed him to a two stop, rest of the field kept going however and all pitted for mediums which would take them to the end.

Now on fresh tyres haze went round the outside to go p2 as Richie was on old mediums. Meanwhile Jack, Charlie and ads were all fighting which was allowing haze to pull clear.

Jack and Charlie continued to fight and swap positions throughout the race which was great to see between the title contenders, Jack then made a small mistake which allowed Leah up into P3. Leah repaid the favour a few laps later as he took slightly to much curb.

Meanwhile our front RRT justhaze checked out in front and took the chequered flag. And that is her 2nd win a row. Jack crossed the line P2 but would drop to 4th with a speeding into the pit lane penalty, SLR Charlie took P2 then and gained some points on Jack in the title race. As did Leah who finished P3.

Ssr halo P5, thatguy P6 after spinning on the second lap. SLR EVVO P7, GoldenEggFryer P8 from the back of the grid. RRT Codzilla P9 and SLR James96 took the final point paying position
