Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! This past weekend we raced in Brazil, and it was definitely an entertaining and thrilling one! Let’s take a look back and see what unfolded Sunday for our Elite division!
ZyDRAD took the victory for the Haas team, adding crucial points for their fight against Renault for the Joint Constructors title. He took the win from Bezzas1, which was a very strong day for the Red Bull driver, and a result I’m sure he would have wanted for quite some time now. Ryan Jones123 rounded out our podium finishers, just edging out the Elite champion HamJam2002 by just a tenth after penalties. Ham, starting in 11th, fought his way back on the alternate strategy and took home another podium. His brother, Xx JamHam xX, followed behind him in 5th, with gho3t C0LT behind in 6th in what was a very close midfield battle for the entirety of the race. PaRa Quickz made an excellent comeback drive after racing from 20th up to 7th, earning him Driver of the Day (and week nominee). After a close battle with Crispy on the final lap, Jito DV ultimately won out that fight, taking 8th. With some equipment problems in qualifying, FRA Freeman9 was left starting in 17th, his worst qualifying of the season. After a slight drop back in the start of the race, the American recovered to 9th on the alternate strategy. MeRkz47 followed just behind in 10th after an incident with Crispy. Coming home in 11th was SLR Darnell, a race I’m sure he won’t want to remember after a mistake on the final lap left him outside of the top 10. Just need to mention Joe’s clown moments at USA and F2 Mexico again because we promised he wouldn’t hear the end of it, sorry 🙂. After a penalty for spinning MeRkz, Crispy2001 dropped out of the points to finish 12th, eliminating Alpha Tauri’s double points finish. SLR Dylan and SLR Smoke68 rounded out our finishers in 13th and 14th. Finally, our non-finishers were: Snypz SB, who has received a quali ban for Abu Dhabi after spinning Freeman), Raceroller22, BDunk, UKBeastAssassin (who has officially taken off the sandbags after being on provisional pole for 50% of the season and making 2 Q3 appearances in 2 races), Midzy15, and SLR Niki.

Reason: Spinning another car, didn't leave enough space when MeRkz was significantly alongside.

Outcome: no action taken
Reason: its a very bad place to overtake on the outside there and its not natural to go side by side there and its nothing unfair going on just not enough space for 2 cars so Midzy15 have to use the the off track a little.

Outcome: +15 sec 3LP Snyps = Qualifying ban
Reason: Spinning another car.
Friday night saw the battle for the championship come to the end. With zzsouthernerzz, sotierclock110 and SLR McKeon battling it out to take that championship title.
In qualifying we saw again mixed weather conditions with q1 and q2 showing dry conditions with q3 turning wet. With SLR McKeon showing pace topping the q1 + 2 sessions missed out by starting p10 sotierclock110 in p13 and zzsouthenerzz showing again good pace to qualify p5. A notable mention to VR46 a reserve driver for taking pole position in the rain.
The race started well, dry conditions and set up for a brilliant title fight. T1 saw the front pack flow cleanly through and zzsouthernerzz looking sure to take the race in own hands and battle hard for the title. With SLR McKeon and sotierclock110 starting further back they had more to do and with some unfortunate contact saw SLR McKeon spin and collect front wing damage and collecting sotierclock110 on his way around giving him damage. With this, it was zzsouthernerzz title to loose. With brilliant battling throughout the front pack, we saw both reserve drivers Duncan and vr46 battling for the majority of the race in the front 2 positions and gave the watchers a great race to watch. As we have seen throughout the season, zzsouthernerzz kept his head throughout the race, just ticking off driver after driver and saw himself looking at the podium positions after a clean and comfortable race. The title was surely to be won. Coming round to the chequered flag, JH199 was another driver, kept him self under the radar from p7 to take the win. Followed by reserve driver Duncan7221 and new, division 1 champion, zzsouthernerzz saw all his hard work pay of as he rounded of the podium finishing in p3.
An honourable mention to the new division 1 champion, zzsouthernerzz, Drivers, admins and league owners would all agree there probably isn’t a more deserving and hard working driver to take this title. Congratulations to yourself zzsouthernerzz and enjoy your new challenge in elite.

Yes that is correct, SLR Semm wins again this week in Brazil meaning it’s now 6 wins in the last 7 races for him. It will be good to see him moving up after next week!
It was a race long battle for the lead again with DnK Rando18, fresh from turning off traction control, who won on track but only had the 1 pen compared to SLR Semm’s pen-less drive.
Another driver worth mentioning was SLR Morgan who returned to the SLR podium with P3 in his second race back in Div 2.
Lastly a big shoutout to Div 3 driver SPhh who decided to cover in div 2 as well as race in Div 3 on Saturday Night, especially after finishing a very solid P7 on his div 2 debut.

On to Abu Dhabi!
The penultimate race at Brazil saw SPhh take pole with championship rivals SLR B33n and Craigfk in P2 and P3 on the grid. At the start of the race and most drivers managed to navigate T1 and T2 except l21l Maxwell who took to the grass and GrumpyOrange976 who spun out at T2. SLR Colden then had a spin out in sector 2 as he dropped to P14 on lap 1 as SPhh continued to lead the field. By lap 2 SLR s2toh was up into P7 with Lofty4794 in P8 as Scott85laney and SLR Dodgy had dropped into P9 and P10 but Lofty4794 has picked up some minor wing damage in the early stages. Lap 3 and SLR Dodgy then took P9 from Scott85laney ahead of T4 as SLR St2oH was opening a slight advantage in P7. SLR Dodgy then took P8 from Lofty4794 on T8 as a bottleneck of cars down to P17 was forming behind. At the end of lap 3 and there was a 4-way battle with Baggiefan1995, Crafti3stJ3st3r, SLR Stevooo and Spr1ghtly all fighting for P11-P14. SLR Colden then crashed out of the race in S3 as he got terminal damage and ended his race. T1 of lap 4 then saw Spr1ghtly and SLR Stevooo come together as SLR Stevooo had a minor spin and took some front wing damage as Baggiefan1995, Spr1ghtly and Crafti3stJ3st3r all gained the advantage on SLR Stevooo. Lap 6 and Craigfk took advantage of an error from SLR B33n as he managed to make the pass on T4 squeezing SLR B33n out wide ahead of T5 as he took P2 in the race behind Sphh. Further back Baggiefan1995 made a pass on Lofty4794 into P10 as Lofty4794 was still struggling for pace with his front wing damage from earlier as Spr1ghtly also made a pass in S3 approaching the line. Lap 9 and SLR B33n took advantage of the DRS to try and make a move on Craigfk in P2 at T1.
Craigfk held the outside and again forced SLR B33n off the racing line which then allowed Cal M Smith to jump SLR B33n into P3 around the outside on T3 in a brilliant move. Lap 12 then saw the fist of the pitstops from the top 10 as SLR Hyperz was the first to stop for the hard tyres as he came back out in P10. Craigfk in P2 was the next to go for a stop on lap 13 as he also opted for the hard tyres along with SLR Dodgy. SLR B33n in P3 then made his stop on lap 14 onto the medium tyres as sphh and Cal M Smith stayed out on the soft tyres. The 2 leaders SPhh and Cal M Smith then pitted at the end of lap 15 as Craigfk and SLR B33n then battled at T1 as SLR B33n took P3. Sphh and Cal M smith then immediately came out of the pit lane ahead of SLR B33n an had exercised the overcut. Lap 20 then saw SLR Dodgy making a pass on DaredPaul1986 into P6 at T1 with SLR Gareth then making a pass on l21l Maxwell on lap 22 into P8. Lap 24 and SLR Dodgy then swapped places with teammate SLR Hyperz into P5 followed by SLR Gareth spinning off at the end of S2 dropping from P7 into P14 moving Scott85laney up into P7 and GrumpyOrange976 into P8.
Onto lap 32 and Baggiefan1995 made a move on SLR S2toH at T1 and came of worst picking up some minor wing damage in the process. We then saw SLR Hyperz spin out at the end of S2 and he dropped from P6 into P15 ending his chance of points. Lap 34 then saw Lofty4794 make a pass on SLR Gareth for P12 only to spin and bin the car at T4 and was lucky to not end his race. There was still time for some final drama as Cal M Smith who was in P2 on the final lap ran out of fuel in S3 heading towards the line and was passed by both SLR B33n and Craigfk into drop into P4. The race concluded and it was Sphh who claimed his first SLR win, SLR B33n was 2nd with Craigfk 3rd. Cal M Smith took 4th, SLR Dodgy 5th, Scott85laney was 6th, l21l Maxwell 7th, DaredPaul1986 8th, SLR Gareth took 9th and Crafti3stJ3st3r was in 10th.
