Round 4 and off to Italy.
Imola, A track that creates some of the best battles between rivals and many iconic moments in the past. But for these drivers, tricky to overtake, Weather can play a factor in these races and is a challenge for all driving.
Qualifying brought entertainment for all involved, but the pole position looked as set as stone before it began and SLR Corey took the pole position by 0.285 seconds! All session he was setting times that were well clear of the grid and his pace is looking really impressive and puts him in the prime place to take the win here. 2nd place was SLR Ogween77, a great lap from the reigning champion looking to fight his way back into the title battle and take the battle to WTurn3r and gain back as much of the ground he has lost in the championship so far. Rounding off the top 3 was SLR Jam40 who has really begun to show the pace he had last season fighting for the championship with Ogween and beginning to fight with the top guys so will be interesting if he can bring the battle to them and make this championship one of the best yet.
The race, intermediate weather starts with a quick change over to dry’s bringing a unique challenge for all the drivers but it was the pole position holder SLR Corey taking another win this season and putting his name in the battle for the championship! Turner I’m sure will be seeing the pace set by the Ferrari driver and be worrying about it even with the gap that he currently has in the championship. 2nd place was SLR Ogween77 who takes home the same position as the quali. This finish for Ogween will really help him bounce back and he’ll hope he will be able to keep this form going into the next few rounds to try and regain the ground he has lost from a few poor races from the first few rounds. Rounding off the podium was WTurn3r who even though he doesn’t continue the 2nd place streak, he still keeps his podium streak going, to continue holding the lead in the driver's championship. Let’s hope the Aston Martin driver can continue these types of results and let’s see if he will be able to go for the championship this season and bring as much entertainment for all. Another notable drive from the grid was SimbarocksONE, who qualified 12th and made a really impressive drive to get up to P6 gaining some big points and especially great for the McLaren driver considering the start to the season he had, so he’ll hope he can battle for more points and climb up the standings.
A tough race for all, and as competitive as ever really showing the strength of all the drivers in the division bringing top tier entertainment to the top tier of SLR. Next race though, Portimao, Portugal a track similar to Imola, tricky to overtake, challenging as ever, and a track that all drivers look forward to. Division 2
Round 4 and we are at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, more commonly known as Imola and qualifying will be interesting today as it is dry for the whole session but there's a big chance of rain for the whole race so will anyone risk it and use the lower downforce and struggle in the race or play it safe and use a lot higher downforce and maybe start further back than they want to as Imola isn't the best track for overtaking.
10 minutes left of the qualifying session and only a handful of drivers have completed a valid lap as its currently SLR CHARLIE who sits in P1 with a 1:16:055 a whole 6 tenths faster than Kemence61 in P2. Championship leader SLR EVVO set his first time of the session and only managed a time 3 tenths slower than SLR CHARLIE, Vapidcoot74 also set a time just 0.034 slower than SLR CHARLIE to take P2. With 5 minutes left to go SLR CHARLIE goes even quicker and sets a 1:15:784 which could be a tough time to beat. Chequered flag fell on the session SLR CHARLIE invalidated his final lap but stayed P1, so did SLR EVVO and only Kemence61 could improve on his lap time which puts him in P2 on the grid.
All 20 cars are underway on the formation lap and it's absolutely chucking it down so its full wet weather conditions to begin with and Vapidcoot74 gets a great start off the line passing SLR CHARLIE before turn1 and so does LSW L3G3ND44, Lap 2 and kemence61 has crashed! Starting P2 to now DNF he will be disappointed with that and it brings out the VSC. after the restart LSW L3G3ND44 takes the lead of the race! And after being disconnected from the session SLR Mash can’t take control of his car and his car is just parked in the middle of the corner but luckily ghosting is on so everyone will just have to deal with it. There’s been a spin and Owenhowell36 is around but as he gets the car back on track SLR Jack and lost control of his car and binned it which brings out the full safety car at the end of Lap 5.
Vapidcoot74 takes a huge gamble and pits for intermediate tyres while it's still pouring with rain, it's a bold move but will it pay off for him? Thats a no as he immediately pits after 1 lap to put the wet tyres back on. the safety car is coming in at the end of lap 8, LSW L3G3ND44 gets a great restart unlike Goldeneggfryer who spins and drops further back into the field, SLR EVVO does come back at LSW L3G3ND44 and takes the lead and starts to pull away getting a 3 second gap but Lap 16 Active JMC loses the car and crashes the car and thats his race over and once again out comes the safety car.
Everyone but Adrian VIII uses this chance to come into the pits and change for a fresh set of wet tyres. Adrian VIII has now decided to come into the pits and gamble by putting a set of intermediate tyres on as the rain has looked to slow down slightly so maybe a smart call here for the Ferrari driver. Safety car will come in on Lap 20 and SLR EVVO has a one second gap before the start finish line he caught J Lee Menz sleeping as he extends it to 2 and a half seconds by the next lap. And we make it to lap 22 before the VSC is back out yet again as LSW L3G3ND44 puts the throttle down to much on the exit of the final corner and loses the whole of his front wing.
SLR CHARLIE is another victim of the rain as he wheelspins out of the 1st chicane and smashes into the barrier which puts him out of the race and brings out, yes you guessed it, a full safety car on lap 25. THATGUY691244 for some reason brakes sharply into a corner and dRaSt1k bLazE has no time to react and smashes into the back of him and ends his race with 4 laps left to go.
Safety car comes in and Kislesko makes a great move on SotierClock110 on the restart to take P6 and so does LSW L3G3ND44 some great stuff from the Aston Martin team. ARL Tooman spins at turn 3 which will drop him P13 with the pack being so close. And SLR EVVO crosses the finish line to yet again win another race, J Lee Menz in P2 and ZachIsBeast25 takes the final spot on the podium in P3, and that concludes the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Division 2, But next week we arrive back in Portugal for the 1st of 3 sprint weekends this season so make sure to join us for that.

Incident involving THATGUY:
10 second penalty and 2 License Points to THATGUY for excessive use of AI without any valid explanation.
THATGUY hasn't provided us with any reasoning as to why he is in AI for such a prolonged period of time. This does also cause a collision and while THATGUY isn't entirely at fault for the collision caused there has been no reason given to us as to why THATGUY was in AI and therefore we can't be as lenient in this instance.
Incident involving legendarydannyd and THATGUY - Qualifying:
2 License Points for THATGUY due to the incident happening in qualifying. It's a completely avoidable collision which results in danny getting damage, THATGUY should be more aware of his surroundings when exiting the pits as the cars in front are doing the correct thing and waiting for cars on fast laps to pass before exiting the pit lines.
Incident involving THATGUY and Active JMC - Lap 16, Turn 4:
No further action - THATGUY loses the car out of turn 4 due to the conditions, unfortunately, Active JMC gets a good exit and can't avoid hitting THATGUY who's losing control of his car. It's an unfortunate incident but one in which neither driver is at fault.

Stewards feel as if both drivers give plenty of space through the first section of the chicane and then Hicklin on the exit moves over too far giving no room to Lenbau.
