Our resident Swede SotierClock110 has been on report duty the last few weeks...and man! Hasn't he complained about it? So after many complaints and a lot of broken English I am back to give you a round up of the recent goings on in SLR.
This past week we arrived in the land of Pasta and of course the home of the famous track of Monza at the Italian Grand Prix. Monza is renowned as being a fast and technical track with the famous Ascari chicane named after of course Alberto Ascari who died in this very same spot when it was a high speed corner named the Curva del Vialonewhich. In SLR's first outing here Ascari claimed some more victims (in less dramatic circumstances of course) myself included!
A funny thing has happened since I've been gone - Presto appears to have stopped winning! For the 3rd weekend in a row the Division 1 leader has failed to find the chequered flag before anyone else and here BOR Verstappen made it two wins in a row - unfortunately it appears he has left his challenge for the Div 1 crown a little too late as Prestos points lead still looks unassailable at the top! A good showing from IL o GI c Gamer (the guy with the most tedious Gamertag to type out in the league) brought him the final place on the podium.
Onto Division 2, and things are really starting to heat up for the title. Torpedo Goats returned to the top spot in which was a much needed victory in his Div 2 title challenge. In 2nd place MacVeitch recorded his best ever finish with a fine 2nd place and behind him and also taking his first ever step on the podium was Harrison161995.
In Division 3 RELLIK NOOK and JH199 battled it out for the win. NOOK took pole position in qualifying but it was JH199 who would take the top step on the podium cementing his lead in the championship. A great ride from 8th on the grid saw BigShoTGoRriLa (which upon reflection might be the 2nd most tedious Gamertag to type out) take the final step of the podium coming home in 3rd.
Next stop....Singapore! (bring some extra tyres)
