Appeal 1 (D4)
Maxwell and Marsh
Steward's Decision - RI
Panel Decision - Overturned
New Decision - 10s + 2lp to Marsh
The Panel assessed the incident and was provided an incident of similar nature in another tier to evaluate to determine an appropriate response. In a matter of consistency, the panel have opted to apply 10s and 2lp to Marsh for their actions. The Panel believed that there was a gap for Maxwell to go into, but with Marsh narrowing the line and squeezing Maxwell when he was alongside, the panel believed the line was unnecessarily tightened by Marsh, which then causes the incident, and not by Maxwell Understeering
Appeal 2 (D1)
Ham and JPJF1
Steward's Decision - RI
Panel Decision - Overturned
New Decision - 1lp to JPJF1
The Panel reviewed the clips and statements provided and concluded that JPJF1 was perfectly entitled to go round the outside, however, in doing so, narrowed the main line Ham was taking, and with contact being made, resulted in the Alpine getting out of shape and being inconvenienced. The Panel felt 1lp was an appropriate course of action
Appeal 3 (D4)
Popcorn and Floresch
Steward's Decision - Warning and 1lp
Panel Decision - Overturned
New Decision - NFA
The Panel assessed the evidence provided and believed that whilst popcorn was stranded on the exit of T8, they took the appropriate protocol and there was no sufficient evidence of a dangerous re-entry or incident that could result in a penalty following this spin
