That's right everyone, we are back for another season of F2, count that season number 3 off to a start around the national circuit of Bahrain. Let's hope it’s a good one!
Our First pole position of the season and therefore first 4 points goes to the reigning champion ZyDRAD after a solid display in the new build of F2 cars. Clearly showing that he hasn't stopped putting in that effort to try and defend his title. Followed by Bennett628 and Sillybunny47711, both new faces to the top 3 of qualifying.
Onto the feature race. A bit less eventful than we expected but ZyDRAD tried his effort to make it one clearly, after picking up a 5 second speeding in the pit lane penalty, making his effort to hold onto the win that much more tricky. Nonetheless he managed it, only just beating out Xx JamHam xX by 5 tenths of a second after that penalty was applied, followed by Jams brother and conveniently new teammate HamJam2002. Clearly putting in an early stamp on who wants that title the most.
ZyDRAD and Lil Wiggyy stay teammate for season 3, and Lil Wiggyy is showing improvement by getting 8th place in the feature and therefore reverse grid pole for the sprint.
Speaking of the sprint, let's jump onto that. HamJam2002 took his first win of the season already after making the climb from 6th to take the W followed by his brother Xx JamHam xX. After ZyDRAD got caught up in some lap 1 chaos, he only managed P13 after having to pit. Meaning he loses the lead of an F2 championship since first joining SLR in Season 2 of F2.
And we can't forget about 3rd... SLR Semm took his first Podium of F2 already this season after fighting off what felt like all 17 drivers to get that satisfying final spot on the podium places.
A race of two halves this week and with 2 points separating the top 3 after round 1, I can already tell that this season is going to be mouth watering. We go again for Zandvoort in 3 weeks time (I know, Long break!) and I'm sure we'll see you there. But until then.....

Outcome: Racing incident
Reason: Although Cameron does brake slightly later again, we believe it was hard but fair racing.
SLR Southernerz Vs SLR Semm- Divebomb (Feature lap 2)
Outcome: Racing incident
Reason: It is hard racing between both drivers and we think this was on the limit of what isn't a penalty. No damage was caused to Southernerz either.
SLR Southernerz Vs SLR McKeon- Spinning another car (Feature lap 5)
Outcome: 5 seconds and 1 licence point
Reason: McKeon sends Southernerz into a half spin causing him to lose 2 positions. However this penalty is not so severe as it would of been difficult to predict Southernerz braking.
Baggiefan 1995 Vs Cosmic Cameron9- hit on feature formation lap
Outcome: 10 seconds and 2 license points
Reason: Cameron clearly hits Baggie on formation lap
Baggiefan 1995 Vs Cosmic Cameron9- Causing a collision and major wing damage (Feature lap 7)
Outcome: Racing incident
Reason: Cameron outbreaks himself and goes slightly off track. However he needs to get back on the track asap due to the nature of the next corners and we think Baggie needs to be more aware of Cameron rejoining the track as he does

Outcome: Racing incident
Reason: Both drivers were in AI for a similar amount of time. Cech was warning the stream about Owen's connection at the time. It's unfortunate but we feel a penalty for Cech would be slightly harsh.
OwenHowell36 Vs Cosmic Cameron9- divebomb and dangerous driving (Sprint lap 5)
Outcome: Racing incident
Reason: Cameron does go late on the brakes into turn 1 but doesn't affect Owen or Freeman. Cameron tries to get back to the normal racing line but unfortunately clips Freeman's back wheel and it spins him out. Again it's unfortunate for Owen but we don't think this was dangerous driving.
FRA Freeman9 Vs SLR McKeon Vs SLR Dylan- Squeezed off track (Sprint lap 1)
Outcome: Racing incident
Reason: Three wide going into turn 2 of lap 1 is most of the time not going to end well and we believe this was unfortunately a tangle of cars and no driver is at clear fault for this incident.
