The elite division continued what has been a fantastic season of close racing so far once again around the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya.
Hoopolicious took his third victory of the season after taking the lead going into turn one and then fighting his way through the traffic to earn the Scuderia their third victory in the first six races. He was followed by Xx JamHam xX who was unable to usurp the prancing horse despite a late charge towards the end of the race and HamJam2002 rounded off the podium after earning himself a “surprise pole position”.
ABR Freeman had to settle for 4th after leading in the early stages. A mistake when trying to navigate the traffic meant that the McLaren driver lost three positions and he was never able to regain them. P5 went to ZyDRAD after a solid recovery from 8th on the grid. Bezzas1 came home in P6 after starting in 11th a welcome boost for both his and Racing Points’ confidence after a shaky start to the season. Midzy15 was P7 after a good recovery drive on the alternate strategy saw him make up some ground after a shock Q2 exit. raceroller22 slipped to P8 after a penalty from the Netherlands was added to his finishing time, but he still showed some strong pace to cross the line in P6. Crispy2001 was P9 at the chequered flag. Another decent haul of points for himself and Alpha Tauri who will be aiming consistent points finishes will earn them the Constructors Championship. The second Mercedes of KevinGT rounded out the points, another good race from the Dane.
MeRkz47 finished best of the rest in P11, with UKBeastAssassin in P12 perhaps slightly disappointed to leave Spain empty handed after another Q3 appearance.
SLR Southerner finished in P13 although showing signs that his first elite points may be just on the horizon after a string of good races and PaRa Quickz was P14 after another solid race from the reserve driver filling in for SLR Darnell. Debutant Flembog took home the fastes lap in P15 after an unfortunate early spin took him out of points contention.
SLR Niki powered through the alcohol to finish P16 with SLR Smoke the last of the finishers in P17.
SLR Rando was classified despite a late crash taking out off the points on his SLR debut. An unfortunate end to a stellar drive, reinforcing Red Bull’s decision to move him up to elite.
The streets of Monaco lie in wait next Sunday for our elite drivers. Can last seasons race winner HamJam2002 make it back-to-back wins around the principality or will a new challenger prevail to take his crown?

No incidents reportedSLR made it’s way to Barcelona in Spain for Round 6 of the Season 6 championship and once again, it was the Mercedes vs McLaren battle for the best grid slot, as it was SillyBunny47711 who took pole position with a 1:14:506, just over SLR Semm in the McLaren, only +0:077 behind, as both set the benchmark and kept each other for close company. Bennett628 starts in P3 with new McLaren Driver BlandSiamang908 stepping into the papaya following SLR Rando’s promotion to Elite, on the second row, however, a 5place penalty in qualifying meant he would start in P9. This would push SLR Gooner up to P4 and SLR Connor into P5 following this. The race start saw immediate action at the back of the field as SLR Morgan found himself getting onto the grass just a few hundred yards from the start while the pack rushed on down to Turn 1 and 2, and it was Bennett who managed to jump into the lead and Bunny lost 2 places, finding himself being chased by Riggsey x before he spun at Turn 7 on the tricky chicane, and SLR McKeon up 3 off the start as the pack began to steady itself.
The first few laps began to unfold as SillyBunny had lost another place to SLR Gooner and SLR McKeon as he didn’t look too confident in the early stages, but in the midpack, Blandsiamang908 had lost some places following his in-game penalty and was fighting ARL Tooman and lil Wiggyy in the battle for P12. SLR Semm would make a daring move on Bennett628 for the lead as the top 3 began breaking loose at the front and leaving the rest behind, but the VSC was out immediately afterward as Lewisod retired from the race on lap 6 on the exit of Turn 3 after some close battling and an unfortunate incident unfolded. The battling would continue to rumble through the pack until the pit window on lap 12 as it was Bennett628 looking for a quick undercut to try and regain the lead, but SLR Semm on the overcut was enough to maintain his lead. Racing up and down was fierce as drivers jockeyed for position, and on the penultimate lap, we saw four drivers battle for P5 and the heat of the racing allowed SLR Semm to race home to his second win of the season, With Brindyboi67 in P2 and Gooner P3 before stewards review, with a strong shout to JibJab325 for a solid P4 and DOTD nomination.

Clock vs Bunny
OUTCOME: 15 Seconds (qualifying ban due to DNF) and 3 Licence Points awarded to Sillybunny47711.
For Starters, We do not believe that Bunny intended to crash into clock when he went off track as one party suggested. However, given the evidence we have concluded that bunny turned in too early into turn 10, causing him to hit off clock and onto the grass, this then leads for bunny to lose control and recklessly drive into clock, giving him orange wing damage. Hence the penalty we have awarded.
Bland vs Bunny

Bland vs McKeon
OUTCOME: 5 seconds and 1 license point Awarded to McKeon. Given the Evidence (or lack there of) we were making the best of what we got, and our view shows mckeon make a reaction to the oncoming Williams going up the inside of turn 2, unfortunately squeezing Bland off in the process, No damage from the outcome so only 5 seconds.
After a week out of racing Div 2 returned just as it left; absolute carnage. It started from the very beginning with multiple crashes in qualifying, leaving us with a rather mixed grid for the race! Craigfk took pole, followed by the two Mercedes of SLR FemPest and SLR Panther.
Then with lights out the carnage would continue, seeing the likes of SLR Leah spinning out of turn 3 and a rather large incident in turns 7/8, resulting in the first of two virtual safety cars, and seeing the likes of rockamad73 up almost into the points from P19!
Then 2 safety cars later as well as a second VSC and plenty of retirements chaos would resume for a 2 lap sprint with 13 cars. By the end of the race it would be down to 11 and it was SLR Leah taking the win, being his first in SLR! craigfk would then finish P2 to make it 5 podiums from 6 races, with ZachIsBeast25 finishing off the top 3 to take his first since Australia. Reserve driver LSW L3G3ND44 finished P4 to take his best ever SLR finish, whilst rockamad73 managed to get into the top 5 come the end of the race! SLR FemPest finished P1 on track but due to in game pens and a further penalty from the stewards meant he dropped to P6, and likewise to SSR Halo who dropped from P3 to P7. SLR Panther completed a double Mercedes points haul in P8, whilst SLR Hicklin got points for the first time since Australia in P9. Reserve driver Cal M Smith finished off the points in P10, whilst the only other finisher was me, on 5 stops, in P11, OwenHowell36. At least I got fastest lap.
We then had 9 non finishers, and with Monaco coming up next let’s hope we can do better and have more drivers finishing the race!

Reason: igor runs wide and loses his car on the outside kerb of the fast right hander. This causes him to spin into blaze. It’s unfortunate for blaze but as igor lost the car on his own we feel like we can’t punish him for the damage it’s caused to blaze.

Reason: whilst panther’s penalty is obviously not his fault, he has not provided his race director. As stated in rule 15.1 of the league rules, drivers must attach their race director and video of the incident to remove these kinds of penalties

Reason: Fempest blocks Blaze in qualifying. Even though he was in AI he is liable for his AI’s actions at all times and needs to make sure he doesn’t block anyone.
Zach vs 5 second safety car penalty
Decision: penalty removed for zach
Reason: zach is an innocent bystander in this safety car collision. He has sent us the required evidence to guarantee he hasn’t served this penalty in the pits so it has been removed.
Benz, Zach and Fempest: safety car restart
Outcome: no further action
Reason: Fempest doesn’t slow down and speed up at the restart significantly enough for us to feel like he’s done a dangerous restart. From Benz’s perspective, however, it looks like Fempest has got ready to set off for the restart so speeds up to make sure he’s not too far behind zach and Fempest. They then concertina up and the three of them collide. No concrete blame can be attributed to any driver in this incident.
OwenHowell36 vs SLR Hicklin

Reason: It is unknown why SLR hicklin does not set off from his grid spot and he has completed the formation lap so it is clear he has control of his car at the start.
Furthermore, Owen should have reacted in time to avoid Hicklin’s car. So we cannot penalise hicklin for this

Official warning to SSR Halo for reaching 7 LP
Race 6 at Spain in division 3 and SLR Gareth in the Williams took his first pole position of the season for the race with SLR Dolph1n in the Alfa Tauri in P2. Honeybadger56X in the Mercedes took P3 with SLR J3st3r in the Renault making up the second row of the grid. The start of the race had an immediate safety car from the start as Aflyinglemon318 in the Racing Point failed to move off the start as SLR Dodgy in the Alfa Romeo and SLR Spr1tley in the other Racing Point were the victims of the start both spinning off into the wall with major wing damage. The race restarted on lap 4 as SLR Gareth and Honeybadger56x battled round T1 with Lofty4794 in the Haas making his way into P3 with Baggiefan1995 in the Ferrari moving up into P5 as SLR Dolp1n was pushed back into P6. Lap 5 then saw the first race spin as SLR Russell in the Ferrari lost it at T12 losing 10 places from P8 into P18 by the time he crossed the line at the end of the lap. SLR Dodgy then got squeezed at T4 by GrumpyOrange976 attempting a pass on the inside on lap 6 losing positions after he has started a comeback after the start. The race then started to settle in a rhythm as SLR J3st3r and Lofty4794 were the main battle for P3 as they were constantly swapping places as Lofty4794 took P3 into lap 13. The first pitstops then happened on Lap 14 race leader SLR Gareth made the first move with Honeybadger56x from P2 following behind.
Lofty4794 opted to remain out and took P1 with SLR J3st3r in P2 with SLR Dolph1n back up into P3. Lofty4794 then opted to pit next lap as SLR J3st3r took P1 in the race on lap 15. By lap 17 everyone had made their pitstops and normal service was resumed as SLR Gareth was back in P1 and Honeybadger56x in P2 with SLR J3st3r and Lofty4794 in P3 and P4. With Lofty4794 on soft tyres he was hoping for another safety car but made a move into P3 on lap 18 past SLR J3st3r. After a relatively quiet period of the race it was then lap 24 when SLR Dolph1n in P13 went smashing into the wall at T8 and ended his race bringing out the VSC. By lap 26 SLR Hyperz in the Renault who has had a quiet race made his way up into P3 as he swapped places with his teammate. The remainder of the race was relatively incident free and it was the Mercedes of Honeybadger56x that took the win, SLR Gareth took P2 with SLR J3st3r making up the podium in P3. SLR Hyperz was in P4, Lofty4794 P5, SLR Charlie in P6, SLR Colden was P7, I21I Maxwell P8, SLR Stevooo P9 and SLR Russell in the final points placing of P10.
