After a quite disastrous Div 2 race in Russia where there was a massive crash which seemed to involve just about everyone the lobby host lost connection sending us all down a Codemasters rabbit hole of doom. It was therefor decided that the Russian Division 2 race will be re-run this Friday in the usual timeslot - which will mean this division will run 1 race weekend behind the rest until the end of the season. This will mean a complete clean slate for everyone and will also give anyone who missed the race another chance to take part.
In Div 1 Presto Evans was left to wait at least 1 more week before laying claim to the Div 1 title after a rare finish outside of the top 3. VSR Verstappen took the win with a Driver of The Day performance finishing ahead of everyone else after starting 8th on the grid. Pole winner FELORUS810 had to settle for 2nd place and IL o GI c Gamer (please change your gamertag) took the final spot in third.
In Div 3 RELLIK NOOK took both Pole and the top spot on the podium after a great drive around Sochi, Div 3 pacesetter JH199 took a comfortable 2nd place with BCT L3GENDS wrestling the last spot on the podium away from GeneralMarrow69. Driver of the Day went to NEDKLAW after a superb showing finishing 5th in the race after starting 14th! Unfortunately he would drop down to 6th after receiving a penalty for an incident with ZachIsBeast.
Japan up next for most - but not for all of us in Div 2 who will be hoping to Putin (Get it?) a much better performance in Sochi 2nd time round.
