The first ever SLR Elite champion was crowned in Mexico City as HamJam2002 took pole and the win to seal his first championship with 2 rounds to go. Haas also secured the constructors championship despite neither driver scoring points as Renault were unable to score the points they required to keep the championship battle alive. JamHam gave his brother a fierce battle throughout the 36 laps with them never being separated by more than 2 seconds but for an opportunistic move down the inside of Hoopolicious and Ham into turn 1 with a handful of laps remaining sent both Jam and the Alfa Romeo of Hoopolicious into a half spin. In the end Ham won somewhat comfortably in his 9th win of the season from his brother and hoop however it was far from it. Hoop recovered well from a poor qualifying by his standards to take P3 on the 1 stop strategy picking up only the one penalty and yet again throwing his name into the hat as an early contender for the Season 6 title. SLR Darnell yet again showed some impressive pace equalling his season best finish of P4. Darnell had shaken off his medium traction control troubles of last week’s race and his escapade with the pit entry in Thursday’s F2 race. (Love you really Joe but I had to ) RaceRoller continued to show what he can do with a fifth place finish in the Williams while Ryan Jones is gradually sneaking his way towards a top 5 finish in the championship with another points finish in 6th.
But that battle for 5th is hotting up as Midzy and Ghost Colt failed to score this week with Midzy not racing and Ghost getting caught up in a lap 1 incident with Dylan and Para only moments before getting off the line. Don’t forget about Merkz though, the Red Bull driver is also eyeing up that 5th place in the championship as he scored another points finish in 8th. An extremely impressive qualifying from Beast with a lap described as a “freak lap” meant that he lined up 3rd on the grid by far his best qualifying of the season. The race however was not quite as spectacular from Beast as he showed what he said to be his true pace coming home in 7th but still another points finish from Beast who with a bit more luck next season could find himself regularly inside the top 10. The points paying positions were rounded out by Smoke in 9th and V2 in 10th. Bezzas came home 11th followed by Snypz who received a 10 second time penalty for his track limits exploits in qualifying, a costly mistake from Snypz as he had finished in the points prior to the stewards meeting. ZyDRAD rounded out the finishers in 13th, a position that rather sums up how his luck has gone ever since taking the championship lead in Hungary, he’ll be chomping at the bit for next season as will his teammate FRA Freeman as both the Haas drivers have stalled, scoring minimum points (through no fault of their own) for the most part recently. 6 DNF’s was the most elite has seen for a long time however half of those came 3 seconds into the race and a few other’s were as the result of technical issues so overall the race was relatively clean apart from the aforementioned turn 1 incident involving the top 3. Overall then an eventful race in what turned out to be a double celebration with both the driver’s and constructor’s championships being won, onto Brazil where everything is still to play for from 2nd down in the championship.

Kolka got pole with another of her outstanding times of a 1.13.479 followed by Bunny in 2nd and Cech in 3rd. There was midway drama in the race when the championship leader Southernerz was spun round causing him to eventually scoring no points after a strong quali. With late rain it was SillyBunny who mastered the conditions and drove away from everyone else after pens had been applied we saw Riggs get 2nd and Ranga performed a dotd performance starting from the back and having a no pen race to finish 3rd.

Wow wow wow! 5 wins in 6 races in Division 2 for SLR Semm, who is comfortably in 2nd! Max points again after his fastest lap. Bennett628 and DnK Rando18 took P2 & P3 respectively, meaning that it’s the second week in a row with the same 3 on the podium! It was also identical in P4 & P5 from last weekend too, as head admin OwenHowell36 just missed out on a first podium (again) whilst Coupe a Benz was promoted to the Top 5 after 2 penalties were dished out to ZachIsBeast25 after separate incidents. The Haas driver falled to P8, but still a great performance from him.
It seems the grid is tighter than ever going into this Saturday at Brazil, and we admins can’t wait! Good luck everyone!

Round 20 at Mexico produced yet another great race in division 3 as Craigfk took another pole and lead the field away on lap 1. The early stages saw Craigfk retain the lead with reserve driver Lofty4794 mixing it up at the front taking P2 with SLR B33n pushed back into P3. The big winner at the start of the race was SLR Dodgy who made up 8 places into P12 in the early stages with GrumpyOrange976 up 5 places in P13. It was lap 6 when SLR B33n took advantage of the DRS to take 2nd place from Lofty4794 ahead of T1 with Craigfk opening a lead of just over a second. By the end of lap 6 there was a 5-car battle materialising as Spr1ghtly was defending P8 from SLR St2oh, SLR Stevooo, SLR Dodgy and GrumpyOrange976 with dingledolphin86 just behind the group. Lap 7 and Spr1ghtly then spun out in S2 leaving SLR St2oh, SLR Stevooo and SLR Dodgy to battle it out for P8. SLR Stevooo then pitted at the end of lap 7 leaving SLR Dodgy and GrumpyOrange976 to chase down SLR St2oh. The battling continued deep into lap 8 as GrumpyOrange976 took P9 from SLR Dodgy in S3 while both were chasing down SLR St2oh. SLR St2oh then pitted at the end of lap 9 with both Renaults of dingledolphin86 and Scott85laney now closing behind SLR Dodgy. Onto lap 9 and Crafti3stJ3st3r looked to have picked up some damage as he was slowing allowing l21l Maxwell to close in S2, l21l Maxwell being able to pass during the fast S bends within S2 into 5th place. By lap 10 with SLR Gareth pitting it pushed l21l Maxwell up to P2 with SLR B33n in P3 as Craigfk continued to lead. Lap 11 and GrumpyOrange976 who had made his way into P4 was defending behind from both SLR Dodgy and dingledolphin86 with SPhh closing in on the 3.
On lap 12 SPhh then used his pace advantage on the main straight to take P6 from Scott85laney as he closed in on SLR Dodgy before taking GrumpyOrange976 at the start of S2 and SLR Dodgy at the start of lap 13. Lap 15 then saw Crafti3stJ3st3r take P11 from Cal M Smith on the DRS main straight while SLR Gareth was battling GrumpyOrange976 for P7 in S3. Lap 16 and a new train formed for P8 as SLR Stevoo was holding off Crafti3stJ3st3r and Cal M Smith only to lose out to Crafti3stJ3st3r on the following lap. Lap 18 and after pitting for softs SLR Dodgy had caught SLR Stevooo and made the pass for P9 at the end of S2, with the same move to pass Cal M Smith on lap 19 into P8 at the end of S2. Lap 21 and SLR Dodgy on a charge on the soft tyres then overtook Crafti3stJ3st3r into P7 and was chasing down l21l Maxwell in P6. Lap 22 then saw Cal M Smith take P11 from SLR St2oh in S2 with Baggiefan1995 overtaking SLR Russell at T2 on lap 23 as the clouds were starting to form. Lap 24 then brought the rain which meant that strategies were going to be crucial for the end of the race. A spin for SLR Stevooo on lap 25 in S2 almost caused carnage for Lofty4794 in P4 as SLR Stevooo re-joined the track with the two just missing each other. Lap 26 then saw SLR Dodgy on the soft tyres catch l21l Maxwell into T1 and T2 to take P5 as the light rain was not yet causing any grip issues. Lap 28 then saw Baggiefan1995 P16 and SLR S2toh P17 both pit for the intermediate tyres as many drivers chose to remain on the dry compounds. The end of lap 28 then saw SLR Gareth pit but he chose another soft set of tyres despite the light rain continuing to fall.
Lap 30 and Lofty4794 then pitted from P3 for a set of mediums showing that the rain was simply not heavy enough for the intermediate tyres yet. Lap 31 then saw some back-marker issues as SLR St2oh was holding up Crafti3stJ3st3r and Scott85laney. As SLR St2oh tried to move over Crafti3stJ3st3r slowed to avoid contact which handed P6 to Scott85laney. At the end of lap 31 SLR Dodgy then pitted for the intermediate tyres with 5 laps to go pushing Sphh into P3. It wasn’t until the final couple of laps when the wet tyre compound came to life with SLR Dodgy chasing back into P5 with the lead cars struggling badly for grip. By Lap 36 it was SLR B33n who ended up with the win, Craigfk was P2 with Lofty4794 taking P3. SLR Gareth was P4, SLR Dodgy P5, Sphh P6, Scott85laney P7, l21l Maxwell P8, Cal M smith P9 and GrumpyOrange976 in P10.
