Canada

The F1 circuit lands in North America for the first time this season, at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, for round 6 of the championship, and with the track being very unforgiving and relentless, the walls are always there ready to punish the slightest mishap

Qualifying throughout looked to be Red Bull all the way, but a late resurgence from Williams ensured that it wouldn't be easy pickings in Q3. SLR Dylan secured pole with a 1:08.475, which was more than 2/10s clear than both Williams of Midzy15 and Bezzas1, who were +0.247 and +0.251 back respectively

The qualifying was done in the dry, however, the race was wet, as rain had seeped in over the circuit before the race start, and meant everyone would have to start on intermediates, and in turn, upped the challenge level that much more, as it became more about skill than outright pace.

The race start would SLR Dylan maintain the lead off the start, with his teammate making the jump on Bezzas to get into P3, as drivers would go two and even three wide into the tight turn 1/2 complex.

The start would be relatively clean amongst everyone, but yellow flags would come out on lap 2 for an incident at the back of the field. It would take a few laps for the drivers to become accustomed to the conditions and get into a set rhythm, however, connection issues meant Silly Bunny would become the race's first retirement

At the front, Midzy15 would continue to pile on the pressure on SLR Dylan as the battle for the lead intensified, and the opportunity rose on lap 4 as the Williams would get a cleaner launch off turn 2, meaning he could get alongside into the turn 3-4 chicane. They went side by side as the track drops, and with the walls millimetres away from the Williams wheels, it was inches from potential disaster, but with the already-established momentum, was able to make the move stick.

SLR Niki would come in to retire on Lap5 as the race would see some stability following the battle for the lead, and with the clean air, the Williams was able to stretch the legs a bit

The rain would really begin to show who was comfortable and who were a bit uneasy as battles between Ghost Colt and UK beast assassin began. Ghost Colt went for a late move into the final chicane meaning the Haas would have to go wide. This allowed the opportunity for his teammate JitoDV to go through, and also the Alpine of Riggs, who persisted in sticking the front wing up the inside into the turn 8-9 chicane and made the move, continuing his charge from 18th

The rain would get heavier and left the drivers in a dilemma, as it was a question of whether to jump onto wets and ride the storm out, or stick to the inters and take the risk that the car stays on the island. Bezzas, ghost colt and Arbon took their chances on the wets, and in turn, became the reference point for everyone to determine if it was worth the salt to make the switch.

The wet tyres looked to have some general purchase as Bezzas looked to give UK beast assassin a headache as the Williams looked to get past the Haas, and with Bezzas in clear air, this was a prime opportunity to spy on the performance of the wet tyre

Crispy2001 would continue to see ZyDRAD in his rear mirrors, as would Riggs with V2, as the battles for P4 and P8 became prime focus as the midway point dawned, and Race roller would roll the dice and pit for fresh intermediates, however, would see himself miss out on clean air, and crucially, behind V2 and Riggs in their squabble for P8, which would be a massive disadvantage

As drivers rode out the worst of the weather, there was word of it clearing up, so it would become a matter of stretching the current set of tyres and anticipating the clear up, and strategy would become greatly emphasised in the later stages, nobody really knew whether to continue stretching their set of boots out, or pit for fresh inters and hope that drying up wasn't gonna be as soon as it said.

Roller would make the move on V2 on Lap20 with cleaner traction on fresh tyres and make the move into Turn 3, and it would soon be a battle of the Scots for P6, and on the same lap, Midzy15 would pull the plug and pit, as would Crispy, ZyDRAD and Ham, but disaster for the McLaren as it would speed into the pitlane, and throw his race for six.

Roller would force Riggs offline into the final chicane, and in doing so, gained the 3rd place he was chasing for the last few laps, and force Riggs into a mistake and to pick up a penalty in the process, a double whammy of sorts

Arbon would retire in the pits on lap24, and on the following lap, there was a safety car out to collect the debris from yologamer's incident on the out straight, as the Aston Martin would bin it into the wall, meaning that the remaining intermediate runners, who hadn't pitted for a fresh set, to come in for some fresh boots. This safety car would see conservative choice of fresh inters for some, however, a roll of the dice for some, as Ferrari opted for soft tyres, a move to slicks could go one of two ways, very drastically, and it was now keen with anticipation under this caution, to see how it would fare.

Safety car would come in on lap28, and Midzy would lead the field away once again as everyone would have to pass the AI of Alfie, and with the rain stopping just after the restart, was looking to sway toward the gamble by Ferrari as drivers would begin their switch to dry tyres. Alpine looked to be the first of the remaining front runners to react to the change in weather, however, double stacked as communication broke. The following lap would see a pitlane rush as everyone would come in for the fresh dry tyres

As it would be a Ferrari 1-2 on track, it would be the Williams of Midzy15 to take his second win of the season, with PaRa quick just stealing P2 at the death, and FRA Ham19 getting that much-awaited return to the podium.

Dylan vs Midzy

Decision: warning to midzy15

Reason: Dylan and midzy are battling for a good few corners. In the tricky conditions they make contact with each other a few times before Dylan has a half spin from some of the contact on the entry of the second chicane. We feel like the tough conditions along with that spot of the track being very easy to lose the car also contribute towards Dylan having the moment, so no penalty will be awarded to midzy. However a warning is given for midzy to be more mindful of the conditions if it’s raining and to try and avoid making contact wherever possible, as it is much easier to have incidents that result in a spin in the wet.

We kicked the weekend off with qualifying where we saw a driver stop klutzywinter380’s pole streak extending, that driver was SLR Semm! It’s been no secret that semm has changed from pad to wheel from the start of this years game and he has got that first pole position under his belt so early on! Very impressive. Klutzy did indeed line up alongside semm in p2 with the two Aston Martins of LP Smoke and SLR Bennett occupating the second row of the grid. The race kicked off with Semm maintaining the lead and the two astons swapping positions as Bennett was on the softer compound to try and make ground up early whilst the tyres were on his side but come lap 2 he has to restart his wheel as a result of a loss of force feedback meant he dropped down to 5th position whilst badotterTV managed to pass bennett and smoke meaning he was up to 3rd! Lap 3 now and with klutzy all over race leader semm the later locked his rear tyres going into the chicane and spun collecting klutzy on his way! This mean badottertv was now in the lead followed by Smoke and bennett in p3! Klutzy and semm would drop to the back as a result of this incident and a lot of catching up to do. Lap 10 and the first round of pit stops started to take place for the soft runners with bennett coming in to try and get the overcut on his team mate and badotter which he found out a few laps later worked as he jumped the two of them. The drivers now had to think about looking after their tyres as rain was expected to hit before the end of the race! That rain arrived on lap 25 as bennett had been overtaken by badotter and as otter passed the pits everyone else was told to come in as the track was ready for inters! Bennett was first to come out and would surely take the lead but otter came in the lap later and somehow retained the lead and would go on to pull away in the distance behind them were Klutzy who was previously running around at the back as a result of his spin with semm found himself in third!

Another driver who had gained places was Owenhowell36 who had very good race pace to climb up to 4th Klutzy would quickly catch bennett who wasn’t enjoying the wet weather compared to the dry but all bennett had to do was finish within 6 seconds of badotter and klutzy as they both had 6 seconds of penalties.

The last lap came and bennett was 5.9 seconds behind badotter which would be good enough for the win but a costly mistake at the final hairpin on the final lap would see him lose 1 and a half seconds to the two drivers ahead of him and that went on to cost him his first win of the season but the checkered flag waved and we had a different first time winner! That man was BadOtterTV a sensational drive from p5 on the grid followed by Klutzywinter380 also a very strong recovery drive to continue his podium streak, bennett would round off the podium, Owenhowell36 took p4 and SLR Vandoorne took p5.

SLR Vandoorne Vs ELiTE x RisKz - Collision (lap 19)

Outcome: 10 secs + 2LP for RisKz

Reason: While space is limited at turn 5, Vandoorne and Elite are wheel to wheel and RisKz turns in for the apex like normal when he had Vandoorne up his inside ultimately spinning the Mercedes driver out.

In Division 2 this week in Q1 we saw some very early pace and show of strength from MasseyF1 and JackMullCGFC. This would continue right the way through qualifying. Q2 would see a mixture of tyre compounds used with half the field getting through to Q3 on mediums.

It would be JackMull taking pole from MasseyF1 by .021 of a second. SLR Lofty would have his best qualifying with a P3 starting position. Division 2 debutant SLR Charlie would start P7 so good showing from him to get to Q3.

To the race then and we’d have a safety car right at the start when GoldenEggFryer seemed to light up his tyres and lose the car collecting 3/4 cars in the process. So it was pretty much as you were with the grid apart from those having to pit for damage.

On lap 6 just as MasseyF1 would take the lead. SLR lofty unfortunately lost it causing our second safety car of the race.

When the safety car went in and we got racing again the cloud cover would build and we saw rain start to fall.

The crossover happened on lap 16 / 17 with ARL Tooman coming out in front somehow after starting at the back of the grid. MasseyF1 seemed to foreshadow Lando Norris in Sunday’s Grand Prix and stayed out an extra lap on the mediums which would cost him lots of positions but was perhaps saved by a safety car has SLR Hyperz crashed out.

We saw 10 laps of racing in the rain with not much change in the order when we had 10 laps left it was time for dry tyres. SLR Leah and SLR Jack the big gainers pitting a lap earlier than everyone else. SLR Barlow would be looking to gain P3 and would with some fresh softs down the inside of turn 1.

Barlow would then make a identical move on J Lee Menz to claim P2. Slightly further back SLR Jack would tap the rear of Leah causing him some minor damage so he was unable to go forward but this would help Massey go through and a couple laps from the end Masseyf1 would take P4. Some fascinating final lap battles took place. But it was ARL Tooman with that took the win and never looked in doubt after taking the lead. SLR Barlow would cross the line 2nd but drop to P5 after penalties therefore j Lee menz and Masseyf1 would get places on the podium. Zachisbeast P4. SLR Leah P6. JackMull would pip ScarB0rga to P7 on the last lap. SLR Charlie would claim a couple of points on debut. And SLR Jack would get the last point on offer but also added another one with the fastest lap.

On to France! With the championship looking tight.

Incident - B0rga vs GoldenEggFryer

Outcome - 15 Seconds And 3LP to GoldenEggFryer

Reason - Fryer loses it at the start and hits two other cars giving them one wing damage and the other losing his entire wing.

Incident - B0rga vs JackMull

Outcome - No Further Action

Reason - JackMull is almost completely ahead into the corner and B0rga tries to stay alongside in such a narrow chicane. JackMull did nothing wrong.

Incident - Dolphin vs Menz

Outcome - Warning to Menz

Reason - Drivers are reminded to be careful when rejoining the track. In this case we aren’t giving a penalty as Menz was on the wrong tyres and was also on the grass so had little control of his car.

Incident - Dolphin vs SLR Jack

Outcome - Racing Incident

Reason - Dolphin turns in as Jack is making the move on better tyres which causes then to bang wheels and dolphin to run wide, we don’t think Jack did anything wrong as he had the inside.

Incident - Dolphin vs Barlow

Outcome - No Further action

Reason - Barlow didn’t actually hit dolphin, Dolphin just looks to lose it in the kerb.

Incident - Dolphin vs Halo

Outcome - 10 Seconds and 2LP to Halo

Reason - Halo has hit dolphin causing him to spin and crash out of the race. We aren’t giving the normal terminal damage pen to halo as it was a very slight tap and we feel dolphin could have done more to avoid the wall.

Welcome back to Division 3 round 6 at the Canadian GP. We say goodbye to four drivers which are; SLR Charlie, CoW3n, SF1 Moley and SkullKiller. We welcome two drivers that will make there debut race which are; LSW L3G3ND44 and SLR Kiara.

As we entered the race weekend at Canada div3 had 18 racers that will be taking part in qualifying. The qualifying result are; SLR J3st3r taking pole, Gregers getting P2, SLR Xhaza P3, LSW L3G3ND44 P4, SLR Colden P5, Vision P6, UnrealSalmon P7, SLR St2oH P8, SLR Kiara P9 and Phantom P10.

We go to the five lights in Division 3 around Canada and the top 4 get a great start. Further back phantom picks up wing damage from some sort of contact with another car that causes a VSC.

Lap2: VSC ends and SLR Xhaka catches Gregers napping and gets himself into P2. LSW L3G3ND44 is trying to find a way past Gregers but no chances. SLR Russle meanwhile has a spin but doesn’t pick up any damage.

Lap15: Gregers has come into the pits as the first car in the top 5 hoping to get the undercut on the drivers ahead of him. As SLR Xhaka has crashed in the exit of turn 2 that brings out the First Safety Car. The safety Car comes into the pits at the end of Lap 17.

As the cars get to go racing again after the Safety car, huge crash at the back of the field with a number of people crashing out and picking up wing damage. A lot of loose debris on track as there are now only 12 drivers left.

As we come closer and closer to the end SLR Spritley has crashed at the hairpin. And as we enter the last lap on the race. SLR J3st3r is on his way to the Chequered flagand as SLR J3st3r will win the Canadian GP, UnrealSalmon in P2 and Gregers will bring home the P3 trophy. LSW L3G3ND44 get the Fastest lap of the race.

Thanks for tuning in for this weekends race we hope to see you soon which will be at France.

SLR Kiara vs SLR St2oH – Lap 2

SLR Kiara tries a move on SLR St2oH going into turns 3 and 4. A very tight corner. SLR St2oH is slightly ahead going into the breaking zone, the stewards therefore feel like it’s his corner. SLR Kiara gets enough room to navigate the corner as well. Therefore, the stewards won’t handout any penalties for this incident.

Vision2614 vs SLR COLDEN – Lap 5

In turns 6 and 7 SLR COLDEN loses the rear of the car. When he tries to catch the car, he is sideways on the racing line. Vision2614 is on this racing line behind SLR COLDEN. Vision2614 unfortunately drives into SLR COLDEN. An unfortunate incident, but nothing that the stewards can do about it.

SLR Stevooo vs SLR Baggie – Lap 8

Coming out of turn 4, SLR Baggie has a better exit than SLR Stevooo resulting in SLR Baggie to go round the outside of SLR Stevooo in turn 5. However, SLR Baggie turns in way too much, leaving SLR Stevooo little room causing SLR Stevooo to hit the wall and damage his front wing. This incident could’ve been avoided very easily. Therefore, SLR Baggie has been given a 10-second time penalty, plus 2 license points.

Vision2614 vs SLR Stevooo – Lap 8

After the incident SLR Stevooo was involved in which lost him a big part of his front wing, Vision2614 closes behind SLR Stevooo. The stewards feel like Vision 2614 wasn’t aware of the damage that SLR Stevooo had sustained. SLR Stevooo goes way slower through turns 6 and 7 than he normally would. Slightly blocking Vision2614. However, because of the damage SLR Stevooo picked up, there was nothing he could’ve done different. No penalties have been given out.

SLR Baggie vs SLR Kiara – Lap 8

Going through turns 8 and 9, SLR Kiara tries to go past SLR Baggie. However, this is a very tight corner. Going into the breaking zone, SLR Baggie is alongside, maybe even slightly ahead of SLR Kiara. SLR Kiara is obliged to give SLR Baggie way more room than she does, as she pushes him off track. This incident causes SLR Baggie to retire. The stewards feel like SLR Kiara could’ve and should’ve given SLR Baggie way more room. SLR Kiara is therefore awarded with a 15-second time penalty and 3 License Points.
