Baku appeals

Appeal 1

Owen vs Marsh

Steward's Decision - RI

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - 1lp for Marsh

The Panel assessed the evidence and concluded that Marsh does turn in slightly early and compromises Owen's line, however, with minimal contact made and no consequential damage sustained, the panel didn't feel the incident warranted a time penalty

Appeal 2

Simon vs Morgan vs Adrian

Steward Decision - 5s and 1lp for Simon

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - removal of Simon penalty and applied to Adrian

The Panel looked at the evidence at their disposal and concluded that the main means of contact was from Adrian and not Simon in this instance. This was due to the arrows and timing screen showing that it was Adrian closest to Morgan and that contact was made between the two as Simon backed out earlier in this incident

Appeal 3

Warhead vs St2oh

Steward's Decision - RI

Panel Decision - Stands

The Panel assessed the evidence and concluded that Warhead is persisting on the outside line as the space narrows, and St2oh doesn't move their steering wheel at all on this straight to narrow, or widen the gaps, which contributed to this racing incident

Appeal 4

Blaze vs Golden Egg

Steward's Decision - 10s + 3lp

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - 5s + 2lp

The Panel understood the decisions of the stewards regarding driver awareness and contact, however, countered that with Blaze being only 1.2s behind and going round T1 with speed into a stationary car bears some leniency in this matter due to the limited reaction time for Blaze in this incident, however, is still predominantly responsible

Appeal 5

Liam vs Owen

Steward's Decision - RI

Panel Decision - Stands

The Panel believed that there was a racing gap on the outside of Liam for Owen to pursue and this gap got narrow as the track tightens up for Turn7. A gap was there originally, but with Liam slowly narrowing Owen's line, Owen isn't fully in there as well and it's a matter of both parties contributing to this incident

Appeal 6

Tooman vs Quattro

Steward's Decision - RI

Panel Decision - Overturned

New Decision - 1LP to Quattro

The Panel concluded that Quattro did indeed take the main line through turn 7, clipping the apex whilst Tooman was there on the inside, however, on a similar response to appeal 1, believed that due to the lack of time lost and consequence of this incident, a time penalty is not sufficient in this case
