Bahrain Appeals

Dodgy and Crispy

Stewards Decision - NFA

Panel Decision - NFA

The panel firstly wants to make a quick note to stewards to ensure that full accuracy is demonstrated in their reports regarding incidents and that drivers are properly represented in their conduct

When reviewing this incident and related statements, the panel reached the same conclusion as the stewards, resulting that a loss of momentum from the battle ahead has led to the tapping of wheels

Appeal 2 (M)

Jam and Elite

Stewards Decision - 5s and 2lp

Panel Decision - NFA

The panel reviewed the evidence provided from both cars and that whilst Jam does overtake under yellow, they have done so in what the panel deemed appropriate, disagreeing with the stewards that this inconvenienced other drivers, but rather, Elite was going into T5 with an argued forceful move which led to the bottleneck, not Jam reducing his speed

Appeal 3 (D3)

Blaze and Hurww

Stewards Decision - NFA

Panel Decision - NFA

The panel reviewed the evidence and reached the same conclusion as the stewards. With review of Blazes POV, the Alpine opens their steering through T4 which leads to the tap and eventual spin. NFA

Appeal 4 (D2)

Raptor and Morris

Stewards Decision - 15s and 3lp

Panel Decision - 15s and 3lp

The panel reviewed the onboards and agreed with the stewards that this was an avoidable incident. Morris continues to weave and get heat into their tyres under SC and Raptor puts the foot down and hits the back of the McLaren, leading to Morris crashing and retiring. This was a lack of awareness from Raptor under caution and the penalty remains

Appeal 5 (D2)

Badotter and LSW Legend

Steward's Decision - QB and 2lp due to retirement

Panel Decision - QB and 2lp due to retirement

The panel reviewed the case and evidence and agreed with the stewards. The incident itself was Badotter being a bit too keen off the final corner and hitting the car in front and spinning them round. The penalty had been converted to a QB and 2lp by stewards due to Badotter retiring and the Panel saw no sufficient ground to reverse the original decision
