The Panel assessed the clip and concluded that the Steward's Decision and reasoning was a sufficient outcome for this incident

Darnell and Midzy

Steward's Decision - 5s and 1lp to Darnell

Panel Decision - 5s and 1lp to Darnell


The Panel reviewed the evidence and statements and concluded that despite there being some marginal space on the inside that could be used by Midzy, Darnell turns a bit sharper than needed and could've left more space as Midzy was enough alongside to be warranted space

Bennett and Merks

Steward's Decision - 5s and 2lp to Bennett

Panel Decision - NFA


The Panel looked at the evidence provided and concluded that whilst there was some incidents going on and la source is always tight, Bennett was doing his utmost to avoid contacting Merks and concluded that this would be a lap 1 turn 1 racing incident

Otter and Simon

Steward's Decision - 5s and 1lp to otter

Panel Decision - NFA


The Panel assessed the incident and concluded that both drivers were pushing each others limit with some battling and banging wheels, there was no majority of blame to be assigned


Appeal 5 (D4)

Maxwell and Beethoven

Steward's Decision - 5s and 2lp to Maxwell

Panel Decision - NFA


The Panel concluded that with the evidence provided, Maxwell does indeed brake, but this is due to the Alpine carrying damage and trying to avoid running off the track at eau rouge, and is believed to not have had a significant speed reduction in doing so

Steward's Decision - 10s and 3 to Maxwell

Panel Decision - 10s and 3 to Maxwell


The Panel were in full agreement with the stewards and were content with their outcome


Appeal 7 (D2)

Owen and Otter

Steward's Decision - QB and 3 for Owen

Panel Decision - 5s and 2lp to Owen


The Panel concluded that there was some obstruction and distraction from Owen, but he is actively looking to get out the way to avoid obstructing otter. The Panel believed that there was a distraction to otters lap and have reduced the penalty as there was no severe danger in the incident


Appeal 8 (D2)

Liam and Simon

Steward's Decision - QB and 3lp to Liam

Panel Decision - QB and 3lp to Liam


The Panel reviewed the incident and concluded that Liam was predominantly on the racing line at a reduced speed which obstructed Simon, leading to Simon taking avoiding action and leading to a crash. The Panel believed that liam could have took avoiding action and removed himself from the racing line to avoid this from happening


The race results on the original report have been changed to fit with any eventual changes of penalties.
