V2 x Combat
Outcome: These 2 separate penalties will not be overturned.
Reason: V2 cuts the track by a long way. Whilst this doesn’t gain v2 an advantage it is in the rules not to cut the track in qualifying. This is the 2nd instance v2 has been penalised for this so he should be aware of the rule by now
Ranga vs Riggs & Morgan
Outcome: The initial penalty for Morgan stands. Whilst the appeal was made for Riggs to get a penalty the appeals panel feel that Riggs should not receive one.
Reason: Riggs leaves adequate space for Ranga to rejoin the track. Its unfortunate that the angle Ranga comes back on track ultimately causes his spin. We deemed Riggs’ movement to the right a safe one and not the cause of this incident.
No appeals were successful so original report results will stand.
