All Drivers Titles going to the wire! - Qatar

Updated: May 25

Welcome to the penultimate round of Season 12 as we were in Losail for the Qatar Grand Prix. As it's the second to last race of the season that means all un-decided championships were up for grabs. All driver's championships are going all the way and will be decided in Abu Dhabi, whilst Haas were able to seal the Joint Constructor's championship for this season. Enjoy deciding what cars you'll be picking for Season 13 on the new game! The Divisions 2 & 3 Constructor's Championships are also still to play for heading to the final day.

No milestones this week, however we'll take this spot look at the permutations for this weekend at Abu Dhabi unless there are any appeals...

In McKeon the gap between the Haas boys is 13 points, as SLR Ham19 is on 279 points and SLR Corey is on 266. Here's what needs to happen for SLR Ham19 to win the championship...

If Corey finishes... Ham needs to finish...

1st + FL 3rd or higher

1st 4th or higher

2nd + FL 7th or higher

2nd 8th+FL or higher

3rd + FL 8th or higher

3rd 10th+FL or higher

4th + FL Ham Champion

In Division 2 there are still 3 drivers in with a chance of the title, with UKBeastAssassin, Pricey & SLR Darnell all up for the prize. Here's how UKBeastAssassin can win the championship with each finish:

If Beast finishes... Pricey finishes... & Darnell finishes...

3rd + FL or higher Beast Champion Regardless

3rd 1st no FL or lower N/A

4th, 5th, 6th+FL 2nd+FL or lower N/A

7th 3rd+FL or lower N/A

10th 4th no FL or lower 2nd+FL or lower

No Score 5th no FL or lower 2nd+FL or lower

In Division 3 it's now down to SSR Halo & BadOtterTV, however with a strong weekend in Qatar Halo extended the gap to 18 points. Here's how he can win the title on Saturday!

If BadOtter finishes... Halo needs to finish...

1st + FL 5th or higher

1st 6th or higher

2nd + FL 9th or higher

2nd 10th or higher

3rd or lower Halo Champion

If you have any questions for these, let me know and I'll be happy to help!

Penalty removal request Rundle - Denied.

The stewards feel that without hardcore evidence proving when the warning was issued on the fire lap that they cannot remove the warning. This is given to the fact that the driver admitted to have gone off the track more than once on the first lap along with the stewards being undecided as to whether or not Rundle was forced off the track at the point they claim to have received the warning.

Incident involving Simba and Corey - NFA.

The stewards feel as though the move is all but complete at the point of contact and that the onus is on Simba at that point to back out.

Qualifying incident involving Knaxnikhype and Rundle - qualifying ban and 3 LPs to Knax for resetting to track and causing a collision.

Also a warning to Rundle as while they have every right to finish their lap, despite having previously invalidated, this and the yellow flags could have resulted in the collision having less of an impact.

Incident involving Kisleko and Pricey & penalty removal request from Kislesko - NFA.

Pricey doesn’t do anything wrong here he is far enough ahead and barely moves. As for the penalty, Kislesko has only provided a race director consisting of the first half of the race. The stewards therefore cannot accurately determine how many to remove or what the result of this would be. (This incident has been successfully appealed, hence the -3 sec has been removed in the results above)

Incident involving Rundle, Knax and Pricey - NFA.

An unfortunate incident caused by Pricey spinning.

Qualifying incident involving Gregers UK - 1 LP.

The stewards commend the actions of the driver to admit to crashing. As this is in qualifying and didn’t affect anyone else and the driver has come forward and addressed their actions with sincerity we feel as though the penalty is sufficient in this instance. This does however serve as a warning to Greggers if any future incidents of a similar nature.
