Qatar makes its debut in SLR F2 around the famous Losail international circuit, a new track and a new challenge for our drivers to face. Nothing new at the too as BRT Griffiths takes yet another pole in this dominant season, with SLR Darnell getting his ART Grand Prix car on the front row with SLR Southerner rounding the top 3, hoping he can get one hand on that runner up spot this season.
We got underway for the first time in Qatar with SLR EVVO making a mega start passing reverse grid pole man Echo for the race lead on the opening lap. Evvo would hold onto the lead until Griffiths who made mega progress as usual in the sprint races took the lead away from him. A tough race for our Evo championship leader Coupe a Benz saw him spinning out with damage and potential loss in point in his championship fight. SLR Southerner did not make it easy for best of the rest (2nd place) as he fought hard with SLR EVVO to take that 2nd place away from the standing in Charouz driver. BRT Griffiths would convert another 10th place start to another sprint race victory, SLR Southerner would hold off SLR EVVO for a mega 2nd place and EVVO feeling delighted after a sprint race podium finish.
The feature race would get underway with Griffiths having a great start from pole with SLR Darnell under threat from Southerner into the first corner but EVVO getting his elbows out with a dive into the first corner making multiple places. The biggest winners in the early stages were UKBEASTASSASSIN showing his experience and gratitude making some mega moves, but the big shock was SquashyCheese, after a tough qualifying gave it everything after making his way into the top 7. Penalties galore up and down the field with the track limits proving to be a problem for all the drivers. Our evo championship leader Coupe a Benz’s weekend would go from bad to worse after contact would see the DAMS driver without a front wing and without any points to his name from the weekend. A weekend to forget for the Hungarian. It was however another memorable weekend for BRT Griffiths as he took all 39 points available and another F2 grand slam to his name. A copy of the sprint race podium saw SLR Southerner take 2nd place after a fantastic fight with SLR EVVO in the closing laps but saw the Charouz of EVVO take the final spot after penalties. Honourable mentions to UKBEASTASSASSIN finishing P5 with no penalties after starting 14th and to SquashyCheese, starting 13th place and coming home P5 picking up his first points of the season.
Next time round we head to the Circuit of the Americas, where last season we saw the drivers championship wrapped up and we could see a repeat of that again this season. Make sure to join us once again, when SLR F2 returns.

Dangerous last minute move to the left from Dodgy down a straight that could have ended a lot worse with Owen the car behind being more reactive to the VSC ending.

Outcome - 5 Seconds and 1 LP to SLR Evvo
OwenHowell36 had every right to keep his car in the position he did from when Evvo made a move on him in T1 then Evvo shows little awareness and racing room to Owen resulting in Owen losing time and positions.
