F1 goes stateside for the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas as the final flyaways are firmly in play, and it was championship leader Midzy15 again delivering the pole position with a final throw of the dice late in Q3, to snatch pole position with a 1:30.749, only 0.026 quicker than Stenner22222 and a further 2 tenths ahead of SLR Cuz

The race start would focus on the front runners, but chaos would unfold at the back as there would be 3 retirements in the space of 200 yards off the line, as SLR Griffiths, SLR Corey and JitoDV, all retiring imminently from the contact. Para quicks was also caught up in the incident, but escaped with all wheels still on the car, but with no wing. The safety car, unsurprisingly, was called out to recover the debris

The safety car neutralised the race and allowed the drivers to compose themselves once more and prepare for the restart, which would be taken by the Williams of Midzy15

The race would resume on Lap 4 and the Williams led the Alpine on the restart as drivers got back up to speed, but SLR Dylan made a call into the pits and immediately detached himself from the racing pack

Midzy and Stenner began to slowly breakaway at the from as the top two would keep it close on the first racing lap, and in the midfield, PaRa quick would also make a nice late braking move up the inside of V2 x Combat into the turn 12 bend, as he was looking to kick start the recovery drive

With the top 2 breaking the DRS almost immediately, the pace of SLR Cuz in the AlphaTauri was dropping as both Aston Martins managed to race past and demote Cuz to P5, with jibjab also looking to make his way through. ZyDRAD and Snypz would be running 3rd and 4th after their moves, but outside of the DRS of the two ahead

The explanation of Cuz could be explained due to a loss of front performance and no front wing, as they would let everyone past before the DRS straight

Midzy would then break off the Alpine of Stenner as he would extend his gap out in front by lap 7, and with both Aston Martins getting their moves done early, found themselves hounding the rear wing of Stenner as they would find their rhythm, and ZyDRAD would trigger the undercut with an early stop on lap 8, but with the strategy being open between a 1 and a 2 stop, this race would be far from done

Championship challenger Raceroller would find himself running his own race in P5 and being the first of the medium runners, would be looking to go long in the first stint, but would have division in the Ferrari behind for close company

Stenner would put too much throttle on the exit of Turn 1 on lap 9, almost sending him into the wall in the far side, and allowing Snypz through an into P2, as track extension penalties would become a dominant variable in this race

Midzy and Snypes would both pit together on lap 10, and both would lose out to the early stopping ZyDRAD, as the Aston Martin would inherit a net lead at this stage in the race. Stenner would extend his stint at the front for a few laps on the softs, running the risk of being undercut by the leaders

Midzy would have a slipstream on ZyDRAD and look to make the move on the inside into T12 on lap 12, and with Snypz getting a double tow, would have a look at the inside of the pair of them, before sensibly backing out, but the battles for the net lead becoming more heated but with the Williams making the move the Aston Martins would then have a go at each other the following lap, with Snypz going up the inside of ZyDRAD at Turn 15, and with some wheelbanging, would push ZyDRAD wide, but immediately concede the place through Turn 18

Para and Roller would share a battle at the front and the McLaren would make the move for the lead into the popular turn 12 braking zone. Further back, Stenner would begin to hound ZyDRAD as they would be fighting over what would be P8 at the moment, and both would go side by side from Turn 15, Stenner making the move, and then holding it round the outside of the triple apexed turn 16/17/18 and splitting the Astons

Roller would return the favour in Para with a move round the outside the following lap, as both would trade punches. Midzy would have Stenner on the outside as both scraped sidepods in the battle for P5, and Snypz being a benefactor from it all, as he would gain and be able to try and split from the squabbling pair stenner would then try the same move on Snypz, but with more banging of wheels, the gloves well and truly coming off as the race reaches the later stages, as Snypz would then be race leader. The top 3 would go 3 wide at the start of the hairpin and down the back straight as they would all be pushing the buttons of the other to try and gain any advantage. ZyDRAD would pit at the end of lap 19 and trigger a 2 stop race, it would be a matter of whether the front runners would react

Lap 19 would also see a boiling point as Stenner would go in too hot at the heavy braking zone of T12, tapping the back of Midzy15, giving the Williams damage and forcing the hand of the pit crew to repair the damage and throw in some softs

This incident would open the door for Raceroller to close the gap in the championship standings with Midzy being forced to pit, and the Red Bull would be locking horns with the McLaren of Para Quicks

The safety car would come out on lap 22 to completely throw the race on its head once again, bunching up the field, and allowing everyone except division, to stop and put on fresh softs for the final sprint to the end. Division would be P2 on old mediums, and ZyDRAD would lead after committing to his two stop strategy the Safety Car would come in at the end of Lap 24 for a 3 lap sprint to the end, and it would be the Aston Martin if ZyDRAD to restart the race and division on the old mediums, would show no traction off the final corner and slamming his Ferrari into the wall, and collecting the Aston of Snypz, ruining both their chances of a strong result. Roller would have his hands full of Stenner in the final laps as both wouldn't allow ZyDRAD out of the DRS detection window

Stenner would then have his opportunity to close up on the Aston Martin, but hitting the back of him on the brakes into the back straight. Stenner would look at the inside of T1 the following lap, however thinking against it, as the race for the lead intensified. Stenner would get it right the 3rd time with a move on the inside to take the lead

Roller and para would bang wheels once again, and with the Bull coming the worst off as Roller would have to regain control of his car, resulting in a penalty and really ruining any chance of a win with all the drivers crossing the line absolutely together, and with penalties being applied, it would be Para quicks, after being caught up in the incident at the start, having to pit and adopt strategy, would be classed as 1st after a truly hectic race throughout. SLR Dylan, who also had similar issues and a bit of anonymity throughout the race, was able to be present when it mattered for P2, and Raceroller, maybe ruing what could've been, and the gap being cut further than he hoped, would possibly still take a podium considering the circumstances, after sharing a race of battles with the McLaren.

Raceroller22 vs PaRa Quickz

Outcome: No further action

Reason: although it was a bit of a lunge from para, the gap on the inside was there and they were alongside each other at the point of contact, furthermore, roller was still ahead after the corner so para’s dive didn’t affect the race at all. Therefore we don’t see any reason to penalise para

SLR Griffiths vs jibjab325

Outcome: Qualifying ban and 4LP to jibjab325

Reason:jibjab parks it on the racing line with Griffiths behind him on a lap into turn 1 in q1. This then results in Griffiths crashing into jibjab and retiring. Hence a penalty of a qualifying ban has been given to jibjab as he should have been more careful and let cars behind pass off the racing line.

Midzy15 vs stenner22222

Outcome:5s+2LP to stenner22222

Reason: Stenner attempts to make a move on midzy from very far back. Midzy begins to turn in aggressively which he is entitled to do as when he starts to turn in he is entirely ahead of Stenner, however they make contact before the apex due to Stenner braking late. Midzy spins from this. We feel like the blame for this lies with Stenner as the move was very reckless. Hence a 5s penalty has been awarded to Stenner. Midzy’s damage he sustained from this is unfortunate and so therefore will not affect the size of the penalty.

Division 1

Division 1 kicked off the action again after the Christmas break, with the championship leader LP smoke only leading by a Margin of 8 points to team mate bennett and elite and in form Connor just behind the last 6 races are crucial to determine our champion.

Qualifying kicked off and pre race favourite after putting in a lot of hours practice, Connor was the man to put his car on pole position for the race, followed by championship leader smoke, then was eliteXriskz and p2 in the championship bennett rounded out the second row.

5 lights went out and Connor would get off to a good start after being gifted fresh tyres by the game whilst second place man Smoke started on 12 % worn tyres. Bennett would have wheel issues meaning whilst he would restart his wheel he lost multiple places. Smoke managed to stay p2 and with his tyres in a lot worse shape than Connors, he would see Connor race off into the distance and would keep the drivers behind him nicely.

Lap 3 and masongammon was the first retirement of the day and moments later elite found his way past smoke then shortly a few laps later smoke came into the pits to try and undercut elite and get back past, SLR Allen also came in. Smoke opted for the hards which turned out to be wrong decision as laps later bennett pitted for mediums and despite coming out behind smoke he caught up easily and his team mate let him through.

Lap 17 and DPT Alfie decided it was the right time to get rid of his mediums which he started on and he would be able to go to the end on his softs which would be key as the drivers knew rain was on the horizon.

That rain had arrived and bennett who was set to take p2 as long as he kept within 3 seconds to Semm started to lose time compared to his rivals behind. He was passed by Alfie and elite, he then went to allow vapidcoot through as he was in a good enough position to take the championship lead and as he did that vapid touched his side and bennett was round, bennett decided to take a huge risk and boxed for the intermediates very early which he’d realise when he came out but moments later Elite hit the back of Allen and he was out of the race and the safety car was out, Connor, semm and vapid pitted leaving the driver who started p17 DPT Alfie leading the race followed by SLR Allen. Connor opted for intermediates, semm and vapid also.

The safety car came in and huge drama! as the man who dominated the whole race was overtaken by predz and Paul who pitted for softs, DPT Alfie was leading but had a penalty, he was ahead of predz by 5 seconds but predz had fresh softs so it was going to be a tense final lap for both drivers.

The checkered flag waved and it was DPT Alfie who started p17 and chose the alternate strategy which played perfectly with the changing weather conditions took the win, he was followed by Predz who started p11 and DPT Paul finished p3 after starting p18 a crazy race and after all that action the championship lead is down to 6 points!

Join us next week as we return to Mexico!

ARL PReDaToRZz #23 Vs DPT Alfie - Collision (lap 12)

Outcome: 10 secs + 2LP for Alfie

Reason: On the back straight, Predz is going for the move up the inside of Alfie for the race lead. Predz is more than along side Alfie however Alfie does not leave room and turns completely in on Predz and spins the Haas driver round also giving him minor damage.

Division 2

We’re back and some new faces in the division meant a grid of 17 took to the circuit of the Americas.

In qualifying two stand out drivers looked like they would be fighting for pole as they topped the time sheets in all 3 sessions. It was SLR Quattro that came out on top to take pole ahead of ARL Tooman.

To the race then a clean get away and not any contact at all heading into the first turn. Notable though that SLR Jack found himself in a spin on the opening lap as well as J Lee Menz.

Lap 3 saw Matthew7153 lose it at the S’s and bow out of the race as DRS was now active making overtaking easier going up the straight as dRaSt1k blLazE looked to gain more places having made up 8 since the start of the race. J Lee menz crashed which caused a safety car. Majority of the field pit however leader SLR Quattro stayed out well rival ARL Tooman dived into the pits.

On the restart GRT Andrew made it easy for teammate ARL Tooman to help him push on. Not quite as easy for SLR Leah but got the move done round the outside at turn 1 to take the place and try and stick with Tooman.

The fresher tyres at this stage were noticeably quicker than those yet to pit as you’d expect.

As Quattro made his first stop on to another set of softs. Tooman was side by side with OG James that lost it on the curb. No safety car required this time however.

Lap 12 Tooman leading the race now. Well SLR Quattro was setting some blistering times working his way through the pack on fresh softs.

Lap 13 saw SLR Charlie and SLR Jack have some great wheel to wheel action.

Lap 16 saw Quattro regain the lead with a simple move heading up the back straight on some much fresher softer compound of tyres, Quattro would then pit for the mediums. Lap 19/20 saw the rest of the field come in to the pits for fresh soft tyres to go to the end of the race.

A second safety came out on lap 23 as skullkiller1014 & SLR Hyperz came together. This meant we’d have 3 laps left of racing. Tooman leading us away with champ leader Zachisbeast 2nd and SLR Quattro now on fresh softs in 3rd having pit again under the safety car.

Quattro got passed Zach and on the last lap with DRS assistance took the win away from ARL Tooman. Zachisbeast took the final step on the podium. GRT Andrew P4, GoldenEggFryer P5, SLR Jack P6, adaaamlee x P7, SLR Leah P8, SLR Charlie P9 and SLR dosser rounding off the points scoring in P10

Incident - Leah 5 second penalty removal

Outcome - penalty stands

Reason - Leah was unable to provide a race director or other proof that he didn’t serve the penalty in the pits.

Incident - Andrew vs Zachisbeast

Outcome - Racing Incident

Reason - It’s difficult to go side by side in sector one, to add to this, Andrew’s front wing is barely alongside Zach’s rear wheel so we feel Andrew should have backed out.

Division 3

Welcome back to division 3 round 19 USA GP.

Let’s take a moment to talk about the championship at the moment LSW L3G3ND44 is leading the championship but only by 2 points as Gregers has came back with some strong points in Japan.

As we go into the weekend Division 3 have had a lot of new drivers enter SLR and some of them are making the SLR Debut at USA. These drivers are; Kemence61, PrimusGaming and Beethoven.

The qualifying results are; SLR Block having their first Pole in SLR, LSW L3G3ND44 P2, Kemence61 P3, BCFC Josh P4, SLR Marsh P5, PrimusGaming P6, Maxwell P7, SLR Rosery P8, Warhead P9, SLR Kiara P10.

As we go to the famous five red lights, SLR Block gets an amazing start on the Softs and so does Kemence on the Mediums, But the championship leader LSW L3G3ND44 doesn’t get off the line quick enough and loses many positions on the opening lap. As we almost come onto Lap 2 LSW L3G3ND44 has spun by himself in the mediums and drops from P4 to P14, meanwhile his teammate has also spun before the pit entry. Not a great start for the Redbull drivers.

lap 2; Kemence is now under pressures by Josh on the softs and a Josh is trying everything to get past but can’t find the over speed to make it a clean overtake. As we come onto the 3 lap SLR Kiara behind has crabs into the wall and broker their front wing and that’s gonna cost them time in this race. What makes things worse is that they missed the pit entry so they will have to do a whole lap with a broken front wing. As we go to the battle for P2 Josh uses the DRS to get past the Williams driver and puts himself into P2.

Lap 4; As now SLR Block is now under pressure from Josh for the lead and a bit further back there is 2 DRS trains forming for the battle of P6 and P9. Josh couldn’t get past Block after the back straight. But Gregers now gets past Swinners and moves himself up to P6. As we approach the end of Lap 4 Beethoven is trying to get past Swinners but there is now room or enough track to allow him to get by the Mclaren driver. As the leaders go onto lap 5 Josh is still putting the pressure on the leader but SLR Block is handling the pressure with ease.

As we go onto Lap 10 there is a full cause Safety Car due to SLR Kiara crashing in the S’s, this was perfect timing because Josh, Marsh, Kemence and Beethoven have all came into the pits. SLR Block has stayed out but has only just past the safety car so they are very lucky.

At the end of Lap 12 the safety car is in this lap, also to note that LSW L3G3ND44 has caught up massively under the safety car and now they are sitting in P3. As SLR Block leads the pack into green flags LSW L3G3ND44 is going for a move on Josh due to a bad exit on his behalf. But then as the go to the hairpin LSW L3G3ND44 seems to have a nudge going into the hairpin but it must have been some sort of glitch because no driver was affected except a Mercedes of SLR Marsh.

As we are near the end of the race SLR Block has been leading this race for awhile but Josh is still trying to make a move but oh no they touch and that’s SLR Block off but no damage and is in P3. Josh has now had a spin on his own and this allows SLR marsh to slip through and take the lead for the first time this race.

As we come to the Chequered flag SLR Marsh will take their first win in SLR, Josh will come in Second and SLR Block into Third after having an amazing qualifying and getting their first pole in SLR.

Join division 3 next time as they will be taking on Mexico. Hope to see you guys there.

LSW L3G3ND44 vs Bcfcjosh1232752 - Lap 13

Outcome: NFA

Reason: On Bcfcjosh1232752’s pov there is clearly some lag involved as Bcfcjosh1232752 doesn’t hit LSW L3G3ND44 on his pov. However on LSW L3G3ND44’s pov he does. Therefore the stewards can’t do anything about the incident.
