SLR Corey would take pole position for the seventh time in his Formula 2 career to score the first points of the round. Evo driver SLR Marsh would take reverse grid pole.
Sprint Race one! Marshs lead would only last a dozen seconds as he loses it on traction out of the first chicane. The nobles would take advantage of this and a Southerner spin to make it a one - two…..the feeling of nostalgia was real. For the thirty first time SLR Ham takes the win with SLR Jam second followed by UKBeastAssassin. SLR Marsh was your first Evo Sprint winner.
Sprint Race two! Shutmedal was your reverse grid pole sitter and his lead only lasted a second or two as he couldn’t get the car off the line. Benster took the lead from this and didn’t look back. Withstanding the pressure from behind even after a late safety car restart he had an answer for it all to take his first F2 win after just four attempts. SLR Corey bounced back after a poor first race to take second and SLR Dodgy found third in his long awaited return to the F2 podium! SLR Marsh was once again your Evo Sprint winner!
The Feature! For the main event it was a pole to win race for championship leader SLR Corey! Starting on the softs to pull a gap and ending on the harder tyre defending a late charge from SLR Jam on the softs after the safety car restart. Jam would go into the final corner attempting a move for a lead however a racing incident bit of contact would drop the Campos driver multiple positions. SLR Ham picked up the pieces for second and the last podium spot was a duel between the Darnells! SLR Southerner back on the podium coming out on top! SLR Marsh made it a hat trick of Evo wins finishing ninth scoring two F2 points in the process.
SLR Corey extends his lead in the drivers championship and Campos extend their lead in the Constructors championship as we head into the nights of Singapore where hopefully unlike last time it isn’t a long night.
